Re: those visitor guidebooks - you can pick one up outside Town Hall or Circular Quay Station. I always grab a copy every time I've used up my 20% off Powerhouse Museum voucher.
Edit: turns out my copy was just sitting on my desk - the coupon says 15% off ADULT and CHILD general admission prices, including all day Sky Safari cable car.

The entertainment book offers 25% off taronga zoo tickets, but you have to pay for the ent. book ($65), so it's only useful if you are going to get some decent use out of the book.
i did a quick search but couldnt find any.
maybe call up a hostel and ask if theyve got some.

yha site "15% off General Admission (not valid with any other offer or transport pass, including Zoo Pass)" (but this is a membership club)
im sure theyve got heaps, as everytime ive gone to the airport, theres always coupons in those visitor books. So maybe youll get someone nice to give you one.
