Decent deal if you're looking for these particular styles but Nungar has more popular styles for $370 all the time (+ about $15 shipping). In a previous RM Williams deal people mentioned they had good experiences with Nungar

    • Just to add to this, bought from Nungar 4 weeks ago and they arrived in 2 days (Syd > Mel). Would definitely recommend them.

If you're after Australian made boots, I would recommend Rossi over RM Williams. Not only are they Australian made but they are Australian Owned too, and much cheaper.

    • these are made in Adelaide. RM Williams > Valentino Rossi's

      • Where are your products made?
Our iconic boots, leather accessories and craft and a lot of our apparel are still made in our factory in Adelaide. R.M.Williams has been making some of its product offshore since 2001, a decision which was made in consultation with our founder, Reginald Murray (RM) Williams.

My products? I'm not associated with anybody.

For starters, I presume you're joking about Valentino Rossi, who is a motorbike rider, not a boot manufacturer.

Secondly, I know that RM Williams make most of their boots in Australia (like Rossi), but they are not Australian Owned (Rossi are). Rossi boots are made in Adelaide too.

Third, despite that the boots are made in Australia, they are usually about half the price of the equivalent RM Williams boots. And all the money stays in Australia, none of it goes to Louis Vuitton.

Sure, it's just a matter of opinion, but I've had both RM Williams boots and Rossi boots. I preferred the Rossi boots, they were cheaper, and my money stays in Australia.

Only advantage RM williams has over Rossi (Hilton, SA) is its made in Salisbury, where everyone is a expert knife user. So cutting skin/leather comes natural.

        • @nephilim: Not really an advantage, Rossi have been making boots for over 100 years so would have decently experienced and trained cutters.

          @malouphix: whoosh

      • Tanning process is done in China now. They just finish it here in Aus.

I was told this 5-6 years ago.

Explained why my 7-8yr old chestnut comfort is in much worse condition and needs replacing than my 10yr old yearling black pair.

Chestnut comfort leather is peeling off, looks terrible and polishing won't stay for long.

        I'm a city slicker..

Still looking at getting a new pair though

    • I have Rossi boots, they are great.

The quality of these boots have absolutely plummeted since LV bought them.

I have an old pair and a new pair, I would gladly return the new pair for a refund if I could.

What in particular is different with the new pair> I bought a new pair of Duracks a couple of months ago for $250 so mine's probably in the same boat as yours.

Can you give a bit more details about the differences between the new and old boots ?

      Interested to know :)

      • More and more canvas and other lessor materials being used in the internal construction.

        • Eventually, I see everything will be made in China and assembled in Australia.
The basics - tee, caps and some wallets are already manufacturerd in China.

  • Oh god, only the natural colour? :(
