Went into First Choice liquor today to get a price match on their Fox Creek Vixen sparkling shiraz ($22 at Dan Murphy's) to finish off my AMEX deal. However, they had a 2 for 1 deal instead which I couldn't find advertised online. Ends up being 2 bottles for $25, before any AMEX rebate.
Stock is limited, I'd recommend calling ahead before going in store. The staff seemed happy to put bottles aside for us.
Unsure when deal expires.
Sparkling red is great. A truly Australian style wine. Not as strong as a shiraz but much more punchy than a sparkling white. Personally, I think the cleanskins at Dan's are better than this one but it's all a matter of taste.
I like it. Much more flavour than a normal sparkling. But much less bold than a traditional shiraz.
I'm not a wine snob, those probably aren't the proper terms.
Fox Creek sparkling red is excellent. Probably my favourite out of about 10 I have tried.
Thanks lozbargain - grabbed a couple today. There are about 30 odd different wines at First Choice that are currently BOGOF.
What's it like? I've never tried a red sparkling.
