SkyMesh users, how much are you paying for your service? (Negotiation for a service)

Currently with NuSkope now and I plan to switch out to SkyMesh.

Nuskope has been great but they are putting up their prices and this is what they are offering according to a WP thread

NuSkope NBN 100Mbit/40Mbit Unlimited $99.95
NuSkope NBN 50Mbit/20Mbit Unlimited $89.95
NuSkope NBN 25Mbit/5Mbit Unlimited $79.95

I currently pay $67 a month for 30Mbit / 5Mbit unlimited, so the price increase from $67 -> $80 a month seems a bit steep to me. I would preferably keep things at around the $70 a month range, with 500GB of data as a bare minimum. I clock up around 400GB of downloads and 100GB of uploads a month, although sometimes it balloons to 200GB of data uploaded (depending on how busy my Raspberri Pi server is)

As for speeds, 30Mbit is actually pretty good for me and I'd like to keep it that way

Skymesh is offering custom plans and price matching, and I keep hearing this like people getting to price match extremely good deals. What are some of the deals you've negotiated and how did you do it?

  • People have said they will match any non-unlimited plan - just call up and tell them what you want them to match and see what they'll do.

Have you thought about MyRepublic? $60 for max speed tier and unlimited data… great deal if you ask me

    • I want a premium service and I'm afraid that as the number of people getting a cheap ride increases, the quality of service will plummet. the min contract term is 12 months too.

SkyMesh doesn't lock you in and they will either:

      1. Price match but also copy the other terms and conditions
      2. do a custom plan
      • My exact feelings regarding them actually, I'm really unsure if they will have enough bandwidth for all the users that have/ will sign up to their services.

To answer your other concern though, it seems they offer month to month plans as well for an additional $10 per month

Maybe see if they will match these 500gb plans

    • I've emailed them with a mention of those plans. Hopefully they'll either say yes or come up with a counter-offer that I'm happy with.

I negotiated a $75 month-to-month, no set-up fee, 100/40 MB 500G anytime data with skymesh. I was already with skymesh but was a little over the on/off peak restrictions & looked at all available offers in my area then emailed skymesh & asked them to match the best offer. they did without blinking. i've been with skymesh since august 2015 & didn't really want to leave into the unknown.

  • Skymesh matched the plan. So I will be paying 55 a month for 500gb anytime data with Tier 3 Fttp.

Set up fee is fairly small and I chose the 12 month lock in.

Bye bye Nuskope. Nice knowing you.

    • Hi Scrimshaw, I am interested to know which plan you asked to be price matched? Im hoping to get a similar deal, and did you just email the sales team? thanks
