Why Cannot I Submit Deal on My eBook?

This seemed like outdated decision taken in january.im member here for more than 10 years.

I have written book which i published on amazon. I want to share with community members and setup free book day.

Now, im allowed to post book sale post but cannot post link from amazon?

It has great feedback and im sure will be popular post. Got 10 votes in less than 30 minutes.

So, instead of saying it is banned and shrugging it off as another book. I want you smart people at ozbargain to review on how you can provide top service to your loyal members. How can 1 person not suffer just so that 50 people abuse the system.

Surely you can do it better.

Perhaps forum page or submit book from member of 5 years to post. There are so many easy ways to provide good service to 1 member but still not allow 50 scam post.

Otherwise, why not ban all amazon books deal all together. If you do that, then that is fair.

  • We have answered you already in the Talk with a Moderator forum but for those wondering the community guidelines were established from multiple discussions but specifically this one:

Site Discussion: Is Anyone Else Sick of Kindle eBook "Bargains"?

and based on the poll and discussion in 2015 we came up a decision here:

Due to an ever increasing number of ebook 'rep' posts of questionable quality, we have indefinitely banned Amazon eBook posts by reps. This subject had actually been discussed since August last year between moderators on and off. Unfortunately posting limits, hiding individual posters, removing posts that contain any duplicate ebooks and similar is no longer an appropriate solution to an ever increasing number of reps joining our site to post their 12 hour free eBooks which aren't well received, as it was back in August until the start of this year.

Unfortunately legitimate authors of eBooks will also be affected by the ban, this was one of the major reasons we did everything we can to 'self moderate' the problem first before throwing in the towel as such, however the number of ebook reps joining the site has increased at a dramatic level in the past 2 or 3 weeks or so and the use of ghost (duplicate) accounts has also started; this situation is no longer manageable. There is also no easy and realistic solution to split product reps into authors and non authors which was also discussed. We will review this ban at a later date.

and those were added to our guidelines. We need to follow our guidelines consistently and can't pick and choose ebook author posts to accept/rejects.

    • sure. Request was to review and find better solution since its been a year. Either way, it seems like a loosing battle. Appreciate taking time to post details.
      Cheers.

This from the same person that thought a 12yo family member, while on holiday, should work for money!

Should be an interesting read… đŸ˜‚

OP, out of all your posts, you've posted 6 deals, 3 of which you were store rep for. Sorry but that's not enough to grant you any special conditions. If special conditions were on offer by the mods, which they aren't…
