  • Do you guys have any of the reversible Micro USB cables?

    • Not at the moment. We only import products from major brands with consistently good reviews and proven products. Reversible Micro USB cables are quite new and they are not produced by any of the brands we work with.

  • I tried googling QC 3.0 but it's really confusing on the requirements.

Im interested in buying some QC3 cables and ac adapter for my LG V20, can I use any ac adapter with your cables to get QC3?
Or do I need a specialized ac adapter which you don't seem to have except for the car chargers and powerbanks.

I'm thinking of buying something like this for 1 micro USB and 1 for USB C charging but want to know if it's qc2/3 compliant.

Technically speaking there is no such thing as a QC cable. A micro USB cable needs to be capable of 5V/2A.

That charger is not Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 compatible as it's only capable of 5V/2.4A. QC3 voltage goes between 3.2V and 20V. A QC charger would specifically mention it.

      • Thanks will keep looking

    • Agree with @Clear. QC 3.0 is supposed to be a cable-agnostic technology. You just need a good enough cable. For example, all cables available on CableGeek will support QC 3.0 perfectly. You don't even need to buy an expensive one (though other features may be useful for better durability and design).

We are in the process of working with manufacturers to get QC 3.0 chargers certified in Australia. At the moment I don't believe that we have any QC 3.0 wall chargers / desktop chargers available locally that's also RCM-approved (non-certified products are illegal to sell). But we are expecting to introduce a QC 3.0 / USB-PD wall charger from a major charging brand in Q1 2017, quickly followed by a QC 4.0 charger when it becomes available.

        Lemme guess… Anker? ;)

  • do you have any longer lightning cables? (prefer mfi but doesn't have to be… as long as they charge!)

    • +1

Yes. We have 3m Lightning cables from Anker: https://www.cablegeek.com.au/product-category/cables/lightni…. These are the longest MFi cables you can find.

      • thanks for your reply

are you able to test what the power loss is across the cable?
didn't have that much luck with Anker 3m microusb cables… charged horribly slowly…

or at least do you know the gauge (AWG) rating of the anker cable?

  • As an Anker Authorised Reseller, will you be stocking any of the following products?

    • Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 PD Portable Charger
    • Anker PowerCore+ 26800 with USB-C PD (was told this is an upcoming product for Jan 2017)
    • Anker PowerPort+ 60W 5-Port w/ Type C

    Thanks

    • Anker PowerCore Speed 20000 PD Portable Charger
This product is not in the product roadmap. It's still in production trial runs so it won't be in the Australian market until mid next year.

Anker PowerCore+ 26800 with USB-C PD (was told this is an upcoming product for Jan 2017)
Same as above. We can access some newer products, but not others. We will definitely order the newest charging products as they become available.

      Anker PowerPort+ 60W 5-Port w/ Type C
Yes! We will have this multi-port PD charger available later this month (hopefully before Christmas but we really have no idea.) In fact CableGeek will be the first seller to sell the RCM-approved version of this product. (Other versions are technically illegal in Australia.)

  • Can't seem to find what the difference is between PowerLine and PowerLine+.

Are the + cables available longer that 1.9m?

    Is the PowerDrive on special?

I have a SGS TAB S2 9.7 that I can't keep charged in my vehicle when I have GPS on. In and out of the vehicle all day. Using a Jaycar 2A cig adapter and Portapow 3m Lead when I can. By the end of the day, it could be down to 10%.

  • Could you do a pack with Powerline+ mictoUSB 0.3M, 0.9M and 1.8M for ~$50 after discount? (~$58.99 before discount?)

It currently comes to around ~$55, or $53 with the 10% discount on the 0.9m.

Edit: 10% off works on BOTH 1.8 and 0.9, so total would be $102.28 for two packs currently - $51.14 for one if multi deal was accessable. A $50 pack for the set isn't as much of an ask as I first thought… Could we make this happen OP? :D

Thanks for the counter-offer. Unfortunately we have to stick to the promotion terms for this one, because the PowerLine+ discounts were calculated to take into account our cost savings of selling multiple items in a single order. It doesn't always scale linearly. Hope you can understand. :-)

      • Was worth a shot! :P
