Can someone help me find a suitable driver for a generic usb wifi adapter?

I bought this cheap wifi 802.11n adapter from ebay but it does not work in windows 7 or 10 without a driver. I have searched the internet and similar listings but failed to find anything. I have emailed the seller but he has not replied to my messages.

Should I open an item not as described dispute or is someone able to track down a driver to get it working?

Here is the item:

It should be noted that there are hundreds of virtually identical generic usb wifi adapters on ebay so surely a driver is floating around somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

  • Device manager doesn't search for you.

The post by AnxiousInfusion has a set of instructions and a download link. There are a couple more drivers in there that you can try if the above does not work.

    • TYVM for pointing me in the right direction. I will give it a go. Cheers :)

  • These cheap adaptors are more hassle than they are worth. Spend $11 bucks and get a brand name one from MSY.
