I had perfect vision right up to turning 45. I now need glasses (+1) to read text (eg. phone, computer screen, backs of packets, paper books).
Really a shock when you've always had perfect vision. I have to get my kids to read me out stuff, like I used to have to do for my mum LOL!!

Yep, I don't mind wearing glasses and it's great to always have sunnies on you with transition lenses. I just wish they went a bit darker, but then I guess they'd take even longer to change back once inside! I have prescription sunnies as well but generally I only use them when driving, or if I'm outside for the whole day.
It's always weird when the prescription goes up and you get a refresh on how clear everything should be with new specs or lenses!!

No specsavers glasses are overpriced poor quality crap. I got some prescription ray bans from vision direct or one of those online places.
I wear glasses, and have done so since I was 3 years old, hence I have no idea what it is like to see clearly without them. Actually, I am not even sure that the best prescription for me would provide me with so clear vision as the one people with good eye sight have.

My eyesight used to be worse on one end than the other because for some random reason only one of my eyes was short sighted. I had to get a glasses because apparently that causes the other eye to strain lot more and might cause sight losses in the worse one, because unconsciously you use the good eye lot more apparently.
Even though that was from before Ozbargain was even founded and way before I found what Ozbargain was, I think it was the white background on Ozbargain website.I feel like cursing my glasses every now and then when I look at my dented nose. I have been wearing opticals for almost 3 years now and every frame I wear keeps on digging into my nose. I use to change the position of my glasses on my nose up and down but doesn't matter. People working on computers are immune to wearing glasses as continuously watching the same white screen and reading many small characters on it can cause myopia.
