Philips GC330/47 Steam and Go 2-in-1 Handheld Garment Steamer $69 (After $30 Cash Back) @ David Jones

60

Came across this while browsing David Jones online website. The cash back runs till 31/1/2017. Also if you saved the Amex offer "David Jones Online Welcome Offer: Spend $40 get $20 back", potentially bring the net price to $49.00. I was trying to make use of this Amex offer, which I have saved, when I came across this item, not sure if it is a bargain or not.

Update: Get a further 15% off if you buy DJ gift card from eBay (thanks to @Louis89, for pointing this out).

Anyone use these one of these everyday for their work clothes?
Is it the same as ironing but easier?
I hate ironing and am looking for easy alternative.

    • My partner uses a similar upright steamer every day for her work clothes, and I've been considering purchasing this as an alternative as the one we have is getting quite old, but after some research it seems this is more suited for the odd job, as the water tank is quite small.

  • How to get cashback?

Same price at JB if you have no DJ

    • If you have the Westfield Gift Card - Spend $100 or more, get $25 back, saved on your AMEX and haven't used it yet, buying from JB can save you another 25 bucks

  • We have one these. Good to quickly freshen up clothes

    • Are they good for getting rid of creases?

      • +1

        Depends on garment.
Some non iron shirts which has a few creases is ok. Polos and t shirts turns out ok. Freshening up suit jackets and pants is ok. Chinos can be ok.
Jeans are not really ok. I would need to iron non "non iron" shirts if that makes sense.

        • Cool thanks

At 50 bucks it's ok to give it a crack

          @mrtin: Bought the Philips GC330 for $34 :)

        • @kazispeed: how you do that?

        • @bargainhereicome: I had these 2 AMEX offers saved on my card

Westfield Gift Card - Spend $100 or more, get $25 back
Mobile Wallets Offer - Spend $30 or more, get $10 back

So basically I bought a $100 Westfield Gift Card using Apple Pay to redeem both AMEX offers at once

Then I used the Westfield Gift Card to purchase the Philips GC330 at JB Hifi for $99 (leaving $1 balance on the gift card)

          $99 - $30 (Philips Cash Back) - $25 (Westfield Gift Card) - $10 (Mobile Wallet Offer) = $34 :)

        • @kazispeed: haha thats what i'm gonna do, but local jb hifi run out of stock for philips, end up buying the Tefal Ultraglide Steam Iron & Garment Steamer Pack , havent try yet, not sure good or not

        • @kazispeed:
          Purchased mine for $23

Cash rewards.cash back, and 40% off Myer gift cards purchased from amex vogue offer little while back

Went in to buy the steamer at westfield jb hi fi but it's out of stock, the staff recommend Tefal Ultraglide Steam Iron & Garment Steamer Pack instead , RRP$149 but she can do it for $110, combine with the ($25 off Amex Westfield plus $10 off Amex mobile wallet offer) works out $80 for the bundle, $40 each item, not a bad price ? Anyone has the tefal wirelss handheld garment steamer? How's it compare to the Phillips one?
