eBay Buyer Gripes. Seller Non Responsive and Wasting Time

Hey Ozb,

I recently purchased a christmas gift online winning via BID, hoping it'd be delivered within a few days as the seller stated a 1 business day handling time and delivery on approximately 20 Dec.

Messaging on ebay back and forth was messy, saying that the unit was locked to Vodafone and wanted to call me , then not responding to "when are you able to ship the item" .. and after requesting tracking if it had been shipped..

Just today they responded by message stating "sorry the phone has been lost" .. which I honestly take as a lie and that he did not get the price he wanted.

Update 21/12/16:
Seller quickly refunded the transaction once seeing the dispute.

Now need to buy again :(

  • Seller rant: sent an item on the 11th - estimated arrival was 15th-19th.
    On the 14th buyer opens item not sent dispute on PayPal -_-

    • I sell on ebay quite a bit, but I was only aware that the buyer can open a dispute after the ETA was surpassed?

      • Yeah not sure, was definitely before though. Should be an easy resolution.. Hopefully lol

    No way to force a seller to ship… just leave negative feedback, start a case for a refund with ebay, and move on. It sucks, I know.

      yes, don't agree to cancel the transaction because you won't be able to leave feedback.

  • I've been able to lodge a dispute. Now just have to wait til 27th if they don't refund to have ebay mediate.
