Movie Tickets - Where Can I Buy Them Cheaper?

Hi Community,

apart from the entertainment book, does anyone know where I can get cheaper movie tickets?

I don't mind buying a few at a time. with school holidays I'd like to take my daughter to see a few movies.

optus perks Hoyts $11.5 per Adult and $9 for Kids

    • you buy through an optus store or can you do this online?

      • I think you need to be a Optus customer to become member to use optus perk

Buy a $2 sim, activate it in a spare phone, join www.optusperks.com.au

Or buy a Telstra $2 sim and have similar prices to Event Cinemas

        • thanks… my dad is a optus customer… so i'll have a look at that

          cheers

If u r a member of a health fund like BUPA, they offer discounted tickets too

    • BUPA, Reall?

didn't know that… i'll have a look there too.. thanks

  • Hey mate, if you are in Melbourne, I know a Newspaper shop on Clayton Rd near Coles where they sell cheap movie tickets for both Village and Hoyts. I used to buy them a few years back.

  • West Aussies / RAC customers - use RAC web login /member number to get the $9-12 on RAC website - Hoyt's, ace, readings , united and Greater Union all on there from memory.

    • Can also use the kids free membership to access the portal :)

      • Can the RAC tickets be used on public holidays? Reading through the T&Cs it doesn't specifically say they cannot be used on public holidays.

Planning on going on Boxing Day or the Tuesday to HOYTS and wondering if I can get away with buying the $10.50 restricted tickets which can only be used Mon - Thurs.

        • Not sure :/

Don't forget that Reading offers $10 movies every day :) (Belmont)

        • True. I'd just prefer to go to Carousel since it's closer and I like the Xtreme Screen :)

  • Bupa racv Telstra Optus customers get discounted tickets usually around 11 bucks for most cinemas

  • Australia Post might still sell cheap tickets, not sure now. Tuesdays in Melbourne are $13 per person at Village.

    Bangla Desh.

  • You can buy a book of 10 from Hoyts for student, concession and adults. They all vary in price and are cheaper than normal tickets, the 10 tickets are cheaper but have an expiration of 6 months.
