Just wondering what the most popular or most recommended loyalty programs are out there that OzBargain-ers use? And also whether or not there's any joining fee's?
I'm interested in surveying potential loyalty programs that are relative to my spending patterns that I'm not already aware of! Currently using Flybuys, Everyday Rewards (Woolies), Velocity and CBA Credit Card rewards program.
It depends on your shopping/credit/spending patterns and your reward preferences as to what would work best for you. I definitely wouldn't recommend going go out of your way to change shopping habits to earn rewards though and would focus on accumulating points on one credit card to get maximum rewards (keep in mind that for some loyalty plans points expire and if you don't/can't pay your bill before the interest kicks in though you may as well not bother as you will be "paying" for those rewards)
You can get a Woolworths and Flybuys reward card free so you may as well get them. Also you can get a Sourcecard Mastercard free that earns extra Flybuys points with purchases at Coles group stores (a version which earns points with other puchases has a yearly fee attached).
I find earning freq. flyer points a waste (unless you really spend a lot) as usually you can shop around for cheap flights anyway like any other item wihout having to worry about restrictions, etc where you might otherwise spend extra money just to make a freq.flyer flight fit into your holiday plans (false savings).
