New Android Phone Needed, $400 to $700

Hi Guys, I need a new Android phone. I bought a Motorola MotoG about a year ago for $200 (an Ozbargain deal). I hate the thing, it is buggy, doesn't respond, constantly running out of memory space, music skips on bluetooth etc.

I need a new phone, budget $400 to $600.

I like the look of Samsung S6 and S7. I've heard people saying not to be imports, but I'm not sure why.

I need something at least 32GB internal memory. I want something fast and responsive. Must have a good screen for viewing movies etc. Good battery lasting time also important.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I prefer to buy something which is a 'Deal'.

Cheers.

  • Have a look at the Xiaomi Mi 5 (http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_5-6948.php)

The Galaxy S7 is a very good all-rounder phone, the only con about it is the bloatware and trash. Deal price… not at the moment.

The Xiaomi Mi5 is also a very good all-rounder device, and the only main con is the lack of SD / non removable battery. Very competitive price and you should take advantage of Aliexpress + Cashrewards cashback for the best value. Last deal featured $300

The OnePlus 3 is a premium device with Samsung's own AMOLED display technology in a 5.5" inch form factor, with flagship specifications (like it's 6gigs of RAM) for around $550 dollars. The software it runs is Oxygen OS which at first glance looks very stock (a good thing) with some performance enhancing tweaks built into it. Deal price: DWI is now offering the best price.

The Motorola G4 (Plus) is a mid-end budget device that you can get under $400 (bought mine for $317). Good enough for everyday use bar heavy gaming. It also takes decent shots, it charges very quickly and fingerprint sensor is superb. However, it runs a rather outdated Snapdragon 617 chipset and it lacks NFC. Deal price: eBay when it's on sale.

  • Does it need to be an outright phone? Or would you look at a plan etc?

  • Zuk Z2 (recent $227 deal expired) which has the same processor and RAM as the Galaxy S7 Edge and LG G5.

    Xiaomi Mi 5

  • Also looking for something similar to a xiaomi mi 5 or zuk z2 but I want it to have a really big screen.. basically something that can somewhat replace or substitute my Nvidia Shield tab… The CPU is starting to slow down and 2gb ram is starting to not cut it anymore (aka can't multitask sometimes simple things like Facebook share a screenshot from one app to another)

So final budget is $400-500 max but $200-300 is welcome

    Minimum 4gb ram

Minimum I suppose is 6 to 7 inch screen if possible

Better CPU stats than Nvidia Shield tab not GPU.. the K1 GPU on the Shield tab I know ATM is unbeatable besides maybe Apple s7 and X1 chip which is also nvidia but it's CPU Operations leave a of to be desired

  • I'd highly recommend the one plus 3T. It's ahead of its time!
