MyRepublic - Is Anyone Actually Connected?

So I've been looking at MyRepublics Facebook page and twitter and it's dead…they aren't saying a word. This leads me to ask….has anyone been activated and is 'live'?

        I did that speed test right before posting the comment. But ive been connected for about 28 days now and can say i get that speed all the time. And ive not experianced any lag while gaming

    If I was to sign up today how quickly would they connect me? Curious to know as my new billing period starts on 23th Dec

    • there connection time after sign up is 7-20 days…but as you have the NBN all connected it might be faster…i dunno im still waiting for them to install this inside modem :(

    Widespread rumours about MyRepublic users using their internet were dashed yesterday as they were revealed to be a hoax.

    • is this legit? I find its like that have disappeared…I've sent a few emails, no reply in over a week…Facebook comments are building up and up and not even a generic 'contact us on this number or send us a message'.

    I received no correspondence and was never called back by the company. After 1 month of calling and wasting my time in their hold queue… and never getting a callback as repeatidly promised…, I requested cancellation of the service on the 9th jan. I lodged a complaint with the telecommunications ombudsman and am still waiting (since the 9th Jan) for myrepublic to respond. Two days ago (24th jan) they sent an NBN tech to the exchange and illegally disconnected my existing ADSL2 service with Telstra! Stay well away from this company and warn your friends.

  • Connected with them last month, modem arrived within 3 days and was connected 3 days later. Their basic "out of the box" speed has been better than previous providers, and now with a little tweaking we will have better internet than we ever did with ADSL.
    I should also mention the price is great too.

    Yes the live chat or call cue is frustratingly long, but the team is knowledgeable and really willing to listen.
    The ongoing problem around here is ping. NBN Co don't want to know about ping issues. if up and down speeds are "within spec" NOTHING will be done to resolve ping issues.
    You can ask me how i know if you really must, but lets just say it has been an ongoing problem for a few years, and now Finally thanks to MyRepublic it looks like we may finally be able to get at least a little help for this big problem.

    Treebs: knowing how busy they have been, you would have been put on the list and when your turn came they ported you from your adsl conection. More of a communication problem than an illegal act i suspect.
