      I cried

      EDIT:

Not a math teacher but tears flowed

    • +6

      Sorry teacher. I fixed it.

      • +12

I'm guessing you had 30% earlier.

I'm waiting for 50% off plus an additional 50% off so everything is free.

        • -1

          Although wouldn't that be 75% off? :P

        • +2

@Name: Both of those interpretations are half true, therefore we split the difference and call it 87.5% off.

        Awkward capitalisation. =/

      • Grammar Nazi crying

        'Maths' isn't a proper noun.

  • +1

It's actually an overall 28% off with the additional 10% off.

Don't forget the 1.25% cash rewards so really its like 28.9% off :)

Well the Lego city fire station (60110) I picked up from the Target eBay store for $90 with the 10% off, so prices don't seem that great.

    • I think its $89 @ Costco if you are a member

    • Yeah, there's some sets on here I picked up for the kids at Kmart a lot cheaper (20% less at Kmart even after all discounts on the eBay store). So probably worth scrutinising the individual items before buying.

upvoted not for the deal, but for the maths

  • I impulse ordered the detective agency, can't wait to put it together over the break!

I got a feeling I'm going to end up collecting the whole set…

  • agreed, even after discount it's about the same as u get from Kmart without

  • +1

    hmmm i don't need lego but….

Detective's Office at $164 is an extremely good deal. Cheapest I've ever seen for a modular building.

  • Wish they had the porsche :'(

    • Even if they did it would be rrp so no cheaper than bigw or target everyday price After the discount.

only thing i'd buy from myer is the exclusives and they don't even have brick bank on there… fail

    • Yep, was hoping the Parisian cafe would be on sale.

    • Have purchased toys from Myers in the years past, only because they had a better price on a special box of Lego. My maths was better in those days too.

Berlin and Venice Architecture series for $36 are great prices.

Is Click & Collect working for anyone?

    • Yes, worked for me earlier.

      • Are you based in Victoria/Melbourne?

I suspect the Click N Collect option is only available to people in Victoria/Melbourne?

I am in Perth, and I know that some of the WA/Perth stores have a couple of Lego sets I am interested in but the Click N Collect option isn't showing up for me for some reason. Below is a screenshot when I clicked on the "Select a store" link next to the "Click N Collect" option.

    ++ for OP's math

  • +1

Okay I'll ask it, how does it come to 28% instead of 30%?

    • +7

So with the original 20%, you're paying 80% of the actual price.
With a 10% discount, you're paying 90% of the actual price.

Therefore, with the 20% off, and the additional 10% off, you're paying 0.8*0.9 = 0.72 of the original price, equating to 28% off.

      • Uh yes I see, thanks for the explanation.

    • +2

$100 item is listed at 20% off for $80.

Coupon takes 10% off the listing so $8 off that giving a purchase price of $72 or $28/28% off the original price.

  • Duplo blocks are also 20% off

Is there a way I can use the 10% off code as well as my Myer $50 gift card I have (at checkout time)?

    • I dont think you should have a problem using the gift card; money is money no matter how applied. I would ring them with a complaint if not.

      • But how would u apply it online…?

  • Is this online only? is Myer doing 20% off instore?

    • +3

They are doing 20% in store and on their website, but only through ebay can you get the additional 10% off.

  • Still no brick bank? They have it on their website.

  • I tried it yesterday at the George St store (going to the Myer Hub) and showing them that I could do click & collect, then asked them if I could take the receipt upstairs to collect the item [Lego Detectives Office] (saving them their legs in the process). Showed as "In Stock" at George Street. I was told that the eBay Myer is a different part of Myer (?) and this isn't possible (despite them being the same building just one flight of stairs from the other). I'd have to wait for the confirmation email before I could collect it.

Likewise, the Giftorium on Level 6 can't accept payment from the Click & Collect purchase - they won't honour the extra 10% discount. I kinda understood that more since the bricks n mortar aren't really geared up to accept online, but the Click n Collect not being able to recognise the same stock I found really odd.

Anyway, I ended up doing a gamble and purchasing click and collect YESTERDAY but collect at Castle Hill (closer to home for me) - just received the advice that its ready for collection so my 9 year old will have a great Chrimbo this year.

    Happy Christmas Ozbargainers!

(btw Brick Bank showed as $229 in store)

  • My boyfriend and I tried to buy 3 sets (25/12/16 around 12.30 am). We went to the checkout and found the original prices instead of the sale prices. Site must have changed them Just then - So unlucky T^T Emailing myer ebay and hopefully they get back to us.

  • Expired and replaced with Buy on, get on 50% off (full price only.)

  • Order cancelled by Myer for the purchase during the sale. Funnily enough they are selling and have stock of the items again at full price post sale to others…
