Forza Horizon 3 is a Play Anywhere title, so yes, it can be played on Xbox as well.

OP should add that to the title.

Is this price really that much of a bargain?

      • It is for the digital edition. Only the digital edition lets you play on Xbox and PC.

        • yes

  • Son of a…. I bought the Deluxe ver 2 weeks ago to play on my new UltraWide, now I wish I waited…

  • Cheapest in a while for digital title. Was $62 a while back from US store. But next cheapest is $80 from AU I guess

If you buy through US store it converts to about ~$55 AUD

    • So u need to use a VPN? does it send the code to your email? Does it work on xbox also?

  • Damn should I take this post off?

I don't think so. "Play anywhere" version from Australian store. Best price I've seen for the PC + Xbox1 version

      • Forza Horizon 3 is sold as 'play anywhere' regardless of region so no matter which region of the Microsoft store you buy the game on you can play it both on XBOX One and PC.

        • OK Cheers.

        • Though it doesn't play very well on PC, crashes and stutters on even the highest end machines, the game is xbox optimised

Singapore store has it for $44.85 - their dollar is parity with the Aussie dollar so a better buy there. So tempted to buy it at that price!

    • converts to 43 aud
      yes indeed very tempting

    • got a link?

But they wont accept any form of payment from Australia.
i just tried and i tried over a month ago when they had the same price.

      • The way to get around it is to buy digital gift cards from the Singapore store to the value of the game that you want to purchase and then after you've added the credit to your account you buy the game. I've done this many times and it works great. Whirlpool has a whole thread on this outlining the steps - http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/xb1_non_aus_digital_purchases_f…

        • they've been crafty this time round and removed the SG 50 gift car from their store. So you need to go with 2 x 20's, and then you have 16 dollars left over which you spend on what?

        • @User166092: I had $4 credit leftover from an earlier purchase so worked out perfectly for me. The digital gift card denominations change on a daily basis so it's worth keeping an eye on. Otherwise I usually buy a bit more credit and leave it in there for next time.

        • @kingofcheap: 50 has been added or maybe was always there and I didn't see! Awesome! Stingy people like me for the win!

Still doesn't beat the $9.99USD from Target 2 days after launch.

  • When I got the email saying my order was canceled, alike the other distraught ozbargainers I mourned the fallacy of a dead bargain.

been waiting for a good price for the digital version… even though it's cheaper OS… sounds like it's a lot more hassle getting those compare to this version (yes I know it's ozbargains)…. thanks op…

  • For anyone looking to buy this title for someone else (which the MS store doesn't really facilitate), Amazon US is currently selling the play anywhere version for USD $39.99. I just successfully purchased a code and it's worked out to be just over AUD $55. Note: You will be required to use a US shipping address, however this is 100% a digitally provided code. Already received my code via email.

    Link here.

    Looks like a solid deal.

Can anyone comment on how the game performs on PC? I've heard a lot of negative user reviews for PC owners when the game launched. Is it worth picking the game up now?

Warning! Forza Horizon 3 is for Windows 10 only. I made a rush purchase and realised that it cannot run on my windows 7. So I'm requesting for a refund right now.

  • So if I buy the Standard version, can I not keep on playing it to earn the extra cars that is available on the All-Stars Pack or VIP Pack or Car Pass Pack ? Or the only and only way to get these cars is buying them via the All-Stars Pack, VIP Pack and Car Pass pack ?

    • Exactly right, you have to purchase the additional dlc

  • Previously I was able to purchase from the US Windows 10 store with Paypal. But this time I am not able to do so. Microsoft must have blocked that trick despite me using a valid US address and changing the region to USA :( !
