Cheapest Pokemon Card Booster Packs

Hi all,

Just looking for places to buy cheap (but legit) Pokemon cards. Doesn't matter which set they're from. Cheapest seen in retail stores are about $6. Any online options which are better or even other retailers?

Thanks!

  • Which retail store were you referring to?
You can try this or find a range of Pokemon Booster Packs here

    • Thanks itz, I've been doing a litte ebay-ing since your reply but there is a fair amount of uncertainty plus some seem more expensive than local card stores as suggested below. Hopefully a price error will go in my favour soon…

  • eBay will give you quite a few at a broad range, usually like 20 dollars for x amount or 10 dollars for x amount with a guaranteed ex card. Normally better value then boosters.

But I'll be honest, I always get boosters because they're so fun to open. Try looking for smaller game stores, places like target and ebgames will be most expensive, my closest game store is $5 for a booster which is cheapest I've seen. Have you tried a place like Good Games? Might still be pricy but hopefully you'll find somewhere cheaper.

    • Thanks for the response.

Turns out there is a local place that sells for $5.50. The boosters are preferred for the reason you already mentioned: excitement! Been playing the online TCG and getting boosters on there is equally fun.

Which state do you happen to be in? I haven't heard of Good Games before.

I can get you new packs for $5 or $150 for a box. I have an online store

    • Thanks sunnyc. I assume there are 36 boosters in the box? Link to your ebay store?

i just used them for some magic the gathering cards, prices were good. shipping costs are to much either and shipping time is pretty quick, 2 days for me to get some from melbourne to the gong, a few mates got theirs after 1 day, all normal shipping; organisation seems pretty nice as well.

    • Thank you for the suggestion.

  • idk if you're still looking for cards, but Shin Tokyo, in Adelaide, sell packs for $4.90 and I believe atm some store have pokemon cards on sale, eg some EB Games stores and Big W.

    • Thanks Tablepros!

  • Be mindful of purchasing booster packs online, or even from stores that have them accessible by customers. There are weight discrepancies in packs that contain rare cards due to something as little as the added holographic foil over the Pokemon image, all the way through to fully holographic cards +/- other detailing. People often buy a booster box, weigh all the packs, keep all the high weight ones for rare cards and then sell the rest on eBay. Other people even take pocket scales into shops and weigh them before purchase. Of course, eBay sellers will claim that their packs are "unweighed" but you can never really trust them completely, sadly.

Buying from a store where only staff can access the packs is safer, but far from guaranteed, sadly. The only real guarantee is buying a booster box.
