Super Mario Run for $14.99

Who else is devastated by this?
Game being $15 is too much for MARIO I guess.
Free to download but pay to play further.
Guess that's why they've got 40 million downloads in 4 days.

Its mario. They invested big bucks in the millions for this and compalain about it being $15?

$15 is nothing for a few hours of entertainment.

Honestly, how can you not know it is paid for the full game? Been known for a while that it is going to cost US$10 + Tax, which when converted to $AU in iTunes, it.s $15.

I really doubt you will work for free. The price isn't too bad once you factor in, no micro-transactions. The store is filled with junk free apps with micro transactions. I prefer once off pay.

It's funny how even all this, if you search the internet, you see lots of kids complaining that they think it should be free lol.

My life is over and I cannot go on I am so devastated. Planning on offing myself unless Nintendo drops prices.

If I added up all the money I've spent on Mario games over the years $15 sounds like a bargain.

It looks fun, if you don't want to pay $15 for it, don't.

  • lol for around 20 stages you're paying $15? That's a total waste of money.

lol $15 is not even that much, go to the casino and people betting $500 is so common to see….

  • Can someone tell me how I can have the full game on my iPhone and the mrs have the full game on her iPad both with different Nintendo ids so we can have different achievements without having to buy the game twice??

  • I do not think this is too much for a Nintendo game. This is cheap for a Nintendo game.

Does no one know how much it costs to make a (good, polished and fun) video game?

Basically gaming on mobile has been close to ruined due to thoughts like this thread. Hence why so many game developers have to make their games "free-to-start", which then follows by gouging the users of their money after that. At least you pay the $15 and you aren't forced to fork over money because you cannot play anymore, or so you need to buy consumables just to continue. Need more lives? Bam, $1.50. Need that item? Bam, $2.99. Need that chest of gems? Bam, $149.99!

I'm not saying that Super Mario Run is "worth" the $15, since that is each individual's opinion, but considering it comes with probably about 1/3 of the levels (e.g. 30 compared to 80 in New Super Mario Bros. 2 on 3DS) which costs ~$60RRP (at least on release). Then both games have different extras and replayability, so that may have been their reasoning behind their pricing.
