Are Vaya's Phones Grey Imports?

I want to purchase the (rare) Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in the PINK GOLD colour. I've only seen it on the Samsung official website for $1249, and on the Harvey Norman website for $995. I saw this link to the Vaya shop: https://shop.vaya.net.au/products/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-g93… and I was wondering if this is a grey import?

If it is, why does it say it has local warranty? I'm kinda new to this stuff, so I don't have that much knowledge.

Thanks in advance.

  • Note: We source devices from various regions to get you the best prices. Specifications for each region may vary. Those listed are typical, but may exhibit slight differences to local models.

    So yeah grey imported

  • The warranty is fulfilled by Vaya and not the manufacturer. It's quite similar to COTD.

    • Would it be fine to purchase the phone from Vaya, since they are known to have poor reviews? Or should I just skip it?

      • You'll have a hard time when problems arise, to say the least.

      • TI will not purchase a S7 edge from Vaya. There is nothing wrong from buying from but don't expect the same level of customer care or service as you would from a B&M store.

  • Given the S7 Edge Pink was not officially released in OZ.. guaranteed to be a grey import

  • Thanks guys, probably the safest thing to do is buy the $995 Australian model from Harvey Norman, or just switch to another colour.

  • Hi there,

A number of our devices are international stock. They are equivalent to local models but may vary slightly in specification. They are unlocked so you can use them with your choice of provider. If you have questions about specific devices, then feel free to contact us here https://www.vaya.net.au/?option=Contact%20Us.

    Cheers, Ian
