Amex Cash Back Offers - Supplementary Cards

Hi just wondering if any one can confirm in relation to the Amex cash back offers (Harvey Norman, Hiltion etc) that if you register both primary and Supplementary Cards and use both for the same deal that you receive the cash back for both or is it just once per account not card? And for bith Amex Direct Cards Bank issued cards?
Thanks heaps

  • i just about to this (adding supp card) but from what i read in the many many previous amex thread, it will works.
one offer per card (not per account).

there was one guy who has used 6 cards including many suppls for one offer (split payments at harvey norman is possible)

Yep it works. That is one of the awesome aspects of AMEX.

  • I haven't been able to register both cards for ages, not sure why. Can only register one card and when I try the other supp card, it says it has already been registered. (CbA issued).

I think CBA cards have been said to have the same card number. That's why you can't enrol more than once.

  • but as other mentioned:
one amex connect account PER CARD - this is for bank issued
also one amex online account PER CARD - this is for amex issued

    • From the following Amex website page: https://www.americanexpress.com/au/content/amexoffers/austra…
Under the second section: Which American Express cards are eligible for Amex offers?

"Supplementary American Express Cards or any other American Express Cards you may hold qualify as an Eligible Card only if registered for the Offer separately. Where the Primary and Supplementary Card number is identical only one registration can be made per account."

So as bluedufflecoat said, if the main card and your supplmentary card have the same number (which is the case with some bank-issued Amex), you can only register ONCE (and the system will not allow you to set up a separate Amex Connect account for the supplementary card either, so you can't get around it that way).

If the two cards have different numbers, then it's fine, you can register both cards for the offer.

  • Yes, can confirm that both primary and sup card have been able to access offer on my cards :)

  • Thanks, still a little confused sorry, so say we use both the primary and supp card say st Harvey and they have both been registered for offer we receive $100 back for each card?
    And for Bank issued cards?
    Thanks again

    • Yep and yep.

Anyone know how to find out if your bank issued card has already been registered for an offer that has been fully allocated?
