Looking for flights, Bestjet.com

Hi, has anyone booked with Bestjet.com? Do you think they are safe? Especially when using Visa Debit?

I have been searching for a return flight; Melbourne to Venice, London to Melbourne, with 2 night stopovers in Abu Dhabi. Although, need to allow 3 nights in booking for first stopover because there is only one direct flight to Venice from Abu Dhabi, leaving around 2am.

I am wanting to leave Melbourne on any day after June 25 and return anytime up to mid August. A total of 3.5 weeks travel. I was keying in July 12 MEL to AUH, AUH to VCE July 15, LHR to AUH Aug 4, AUH to MEL Aug 6. I would like to travel through the day as much as possible. I hate night flights!!

It looks like all the cheapest flights are gone and I am up for $2500 plus. Etihad does have a 2 nights for 1 hotel stopover deal going at the moment.

So far Bestjet.com has the cheapest fare I can find.

I would be grateful for any feedback.

    Hi,
    I ran some rough dates into my system and came up with… $2461 but "includes in" flying AUH-AMS-VCE, instead of AUH-VCE direct.
    (and LHR-AMS-AUH, instead of LHR-AUH direct)

    You seem to have your heart set on Etihad since you specify AUH. And it's summer travel season going anywhere in Europe with Etihad is going to be expensive. Can you relax any of the constraints?

    I don't have to go with Etihad. I just wanted only two flights each way, 2 night stopovers and flights that leave not before 9:30am or later than 3pm for the long haul flights. I don't fancy staying in Bangkok. I have just had back surgery that's why I would like day flights and direct flights.

      No worries… ITA Matrix allows you to incorporate those criteria using "Preferred times" into Multi-city Searches with "Add another flight" for each sector.

      You need to select MEL for your Departure City and AUD for Currency.

    Once you have found flights on bestjet.com.au, you can get them price matched at Flight Centre by $1. This is what I do, and you don't have to worry about company credibility then

        bestjet have a few issues. Had an issue with them once, would never use again.

        Their payments seem to be automatic but their ticketing seems to be manual, so say you pay on a Friday & they are busy, they might not get around to it until Monday, when fare may have changed.

        Also, they try & appear as they are Australian based, but phones seem to be answered in Philippines, but some tickets come from an agency in Sydney CBD. Complicated.

        If in doubt, always pay with a credit card not debit card. Some credit cards, like some Coles Platinum Mastercards charge no international transaction fees & the exchange rate they use seems good, but bonus points are less.
