Paid $1996 in oct, very good tv, did not expect it to drop so much over 2 months.

    • itll drop another 400 in april when the new models are released.

    • Same here mate…I guess this has taught us not to rush in when only 20% off is offered.

Went to have a look at Myer today… Same TV for $1899… Couldn't budge on the price.

Who the hell would shop at Myer.

    • Probably because in two years the salesman can offer an exciting price of $1499 to some gullible bastard lol

    • Because its "Premium"

Thanks OP for sharing, finally I pulled the trigger. Cashrewards has been tracked for a total of $45.48 and this is the cheapest I've seen so far for this tv.

Do you know when the are going to deliver it?

      • +1

I am going to pick up. Still waiting for the store's email …

        • I also selected pick up. Ordered 3.30pm on the 30th.

Have you heard anything from them since?

        • @Kgceltics5:Nothing. I called the store on the 30th and have been told that my order has not been passed on to the store system yet (no visibility) and since the head office (online order system) is on a long NY weekend, nothing can be done.

        • @boz628:

Yeah I'm yet to hear anything either.

        • @Kgceltics5: did you received any notice about the delivery? Or anyone else?

        • @vplus:
They said today but yet to hear anything.

          Which store were you?

        • @Kgceltics5: Moorabbin store, I email them about my delivery, just got an email today saying no stock, wth

  • Bought the last one at Retravision in WA yesterday. I do have some buyers remorse though, I didnt even need a new TV….
Seems to be a nice tv so far though!

  • got one, thanx OP

  • Hmmm, the samsung is mighty appealing but the LG 60" around the same price is tempting (http://www.betta.com.au/lg-uhd-smart-led-television-quad-cor…). Hardly found a review for the LG though, any advice?

The comments on this old deal may help you: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/269313

I almost bought that same TV you mentioned until i read a lot of negative stuff about it. I bought the Samsung in this deal a few days ago and its a mindblowingly good TV.

      • is that coz the 100mhz refresh rate? and should we be getting 200 as a base now?

that tv ticked all the boxes, was pretty big and hdr and allt he new features for a decent price.

        • No, there is no such thing as true 200mhz refresh rate its just upscaling, 100mhz is good. Its more about the other issues mentioned in the comments like dirty screen effect and colour banding. When i did my research i narrowed it down to Sony, Samsung & Panasonic. Think there is a Hisense TV people have been saying is excellent value for money too. The samsung TV in this deal is a big step up from the TV you mentioned.

        • @Snoopy113:

yeah i think that was the larger one, series 7 or something, got almost perfect reviewes from av foroums,.. could be had for 1799 i think form memory

    wow ozbargained already!

  • Anyone pick up their tv yet? Or took delivery? I contact the store that's suppose to deliver they give me 2 option 1) We can organise a cancellation of your order and our Head Office will refund the money
    2) We expect about a 2 week wait at this stage, and waiting on Samsung to advise the latest ETA of new stock.

  • i am still waiting… ordered it on the 30/12/16.

    • Same here. I wonder if anyone else receive any update from the Head Office.
I've contacted my local retail store over the weekend and was told to contact Head Office as there is no stock to source from. Head Office appears to pass the buck back to the store …

    • I called Betta - North Sydney today, they advise they might have some stock late Jan to early Feb.

      • Thanks. I also sent an email to the Head Office and have been advised that stock should land in Australia in early Feb.
