    though if you already know their size in a brand/style (like Clarks) then I assume online is ok by you?

      No, getting the correct width in school shoes is more important than other styles of shoes. For example, my child might fit a 9E in a normal shoe but an 8F might be a better fit in a school shoe or vice versa. As the child is wearing the shoes 40+ hours per week, you don't want to be guessing just to save a few dollars.

        Well using Clark as an example, I took my kid out on the weekend looking at school shoes and when trying on Clarks it didnt matter if they wore a sport or dress style they were the same size (and they only came in the one width for that size)

        So, I dont see the problem if i know this size buying online… but obviously Im missing something
