Making The Most of Multi Policy Discounts (Insurance)

i'm hoping some fellow oz-bargainers can share their ideas on how they get the best insurance deals.
I make a habit of shopping around on each policy when it's renewal time but want to see if there's a better way to do this.

I currently have the following insurance policies:

Car insurance x 2
House & contents insurance including personal cover for some valuable items.
Building and landlord insurance x 2 (investment properties)
health insurance

I find little or no price difference when you combine multiple policies even though they all claim to have a multi policy discount.
i'm guessing an insurance broker may help. Is there any the community would recommend?

I had 2 cars & 1 home insure with RACV I found its cheaper than AAMI.

I tried getting the break up of the cost of car insurance and only RACV gave me the details.
All insurance companies seem to come up with a magical number and say we have given you X percentage of discount for years, no claim bonus etc. but they fail to give the before and after numbers.
this actually makes it hard to compare the prices.
