Fill up your slots girls…and boys

  • +1

    Brilliant price. Pricing error?

  • There is also a 3200 CL14 at a very good price.

  • just bought it… i dont even have a compatible motherboard but will be upgrading my cpu and mbo soon. If honoured its an epic price

  • +1

That's bizarre, I bought 32GB for $170 6 months ago and thought that was a steal!

Buy these and flog my old RAM on Gumtree? :D

    • +3

buy first, think later. go go go !!

      • +2

        I snoze, I loze.

        :(

  • Would these work in a motherboard that is limited to 2133? dont care if it runs only at the 2133 speed just as long as they work.

    • +3

From my experience, they get downclocked to 2133. You might have to adjust the settings in your BIOS though

    • +1

I'm using Corsair 3200 kits in a Dell system now. As mentioned they're just run at 2133 at the lower latency.

  • G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-3200C15Q-64GVR 64 GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL15 1.35 V Memory Kit - Blazing Red is no longer available from the seller you selected

    • +3

i suspect people are buying in bulk to resell on ebay for a profit

      • Wish they would stop limit at 1 p/person. No one needs 64gb or more.

        • +1

2 per person to allow for an X99 build

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • +3

With 64GB ram, you might as well run your OS from it -_-

    • +4

      a RAM drive :)

      • +2

Exactly what I've done. Got 128gb and set up a 64gb ram drive and use as a scratch disk for PS.

        • +2

          Which mobo did you pick?

        • +1

          @icecream:
MSI carbon pro. Not a gaming machine. Photo/video
          Running broadwell 6850k

        • +1

          @bbourizk:

It's a good mobo. I'm also into workstation setup.

Quite sure it can play Diablo 3 and Overwatch if you have spare time to kill.

  • Curious - has anyone found an actual use for 64Gb ram - i'm not talking RAM Drive. I've tried that and there is no way i'd run it long term.

    • +8

Running multiple virtual machines. Or running many tabs in Chrome.

    • +1

I'm struggling to justify how I can use 64GB as well. 16GB serves me fine for web browsing and gaming.

Anyway, I'm glad I managed to get an order in. Buy now, think later.

    • Anything you want, VMs, Photoshop, Premiere, Rendering. You name it!

  • +2

    phew just got this in

    lets hope it sticks

    • +1

I see what you did there.

I think I may have bought the very last one, as it was showing out of stock immediately after I placed the order. Thanks OP

    • its OOS but you can backorder

      • Yeah, I posted too soon. 5 seconds after I made the post, I refreshed it, and saw that it was available for backorder.

  • Hello. I am looking for a new Kaby lake 7700k build. Would this be suitable and compatible? Hope someone can help :_)

    • No, would over power the system

  • +1

Much difference between the CL15 and CL14?

    • +8

      1

  • +1

Damm was about to go to bed, now I might have to build a PC.
Whats a good mid-range motherboard to go with this RAM ?

    • +3

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/X99%20Extreme63.1/index.asp (seen them sell for ~$300 mark)

Two of these Ram kits (420), a cheap 12 core, 24 thread S2011-3 ES Xeon ($300), a 500GB NvME SSD (250), and an Intel AC7260 WiFi card (35) and you've got yourself a killer workstation.

      • I love what you're putting down

      • I have a 12/24 Core/Thread ES sample, and they are down clocked to the standard. Of course you are paying fraction of the cost vs retail. I would suggest to fork out a little more for a QS as it is practically the same as the retail version as in my view the GHZ is very important. Please note for newbies that these CPU's don't like OC'ing (well maybe a little headroom) Yep, good for a workstation. Cheers

  • So tempeted, but sadly my Core i7 2600k neither support more than 32gb nor support ddr4 ram. Good pricing though.

    • There has been many DDR3 steals, I bought but 64GB is overkill

  • OP might want to add; Price gets reduced at checkout, pay in GBP

  • 64GB seems like a lot, any deal for 16GB?

    • +2

      No.

    • 64GB is probably overkill. But you could go halves with someone.

  • pulled the trigger… 10000 part UG assemblies here i come

  • That didn't take long.

    1.35v though.

    • +1

All the faster Ram run at 1.35V

  • Ordered G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64 GB DDR4 3200 MHz for my machine. Would Amazon honour this if this was a pricing error?

  • -1

Going to credit where you found the deal?

    • +3

these all come on my twitter feed

      • Fair enough. Sorry for being doubtful.

      • +1

Send me your twitter and I'll follow you for your efforts :)

  • +1

The only one left is around $700 here so $261 shipped is a bargain.

  • +2

As soon as I logged in, 600 quid………………………………………………………………………………. These will never ship.

    • +1

Happy to see miracle even once :)

  • Curious to know can the heat spreaders be replaced (or even removed?)

    • Easily removed, no hindrance.

  • Wow, great price and ordered just in time.

  • If anyone wants to sell their 64GB rig in a year give us a call :)

  • Now they are all sold out.

    • Yer, 3200MHz CL14 is sold out too.

I was trying to buy one more pack :(

  • Purchased one on backorder so lets hope it works with Kaby Lake and the new 200-series boards.

    • +1

      It works

      • Yay, thanks Trio21 for letting me know :)

  • +1

    Recommended motherboard for the

    G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-3200C14Q-64GVR 64 GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL14 1.35 V Memory Kit - Blazing Red ?

    • +3

      Z170 with 4 memory slots

I don't mind ASRock, they are feature rich and affordable and the past few I have lasted years and are still going.

    • It depends what you're gonna use it for… I own a Extreme6+ and couldn't be happier with it. Just remember to update the BIOS of whatever you get as soon as possible!

  • this looks done and dusted yo

  • +3

Ffs of course I missed this. I'm only on OzB when the crappy ebook deals are posted…

        • +1

Haha it's not looking good for you. At least try to grab a cheap deep roast pan.

      • +1

I somehow doubt paying $1 + $400 in airfares (Per<->Syd) to watch Shikamoo pleasure himself, compares well to snapping up an awesome deal on RAM :)

        • Haha neither do I! Either way I hope this gets honoured for everyone who got an order in :)

        • +2

@hell0: Harambe's cheeky cousin that shoots himself.

First it's out of stock now it's over 500£ and it doesn't ship to Australia what's going on

    • Trump did it.

    • missed the boat

    • The one that was in-stock was sold by Amazon UK, but now the link goes to a independent store but at a much higher price.

      • Thanks and damm it

  • Oh for crying out loud… I'm usually on OzB 24/7 and yet somehow I've missed the one deal that I actually need (as opposed to another set of eneloops).

  • The price for `G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series F4-3200C14Q-64GVR 64 GB DDR4 3200 MHz CL14 1.35 V Memory Kit - Blazing Red' (ASIN: B01ASEFPVQ) was displayed incorrectly when you placed your order xxxxxx

Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our website, pricing errors can occasionally occur.

*** This was a back order … so no payment was taken … wonder if those that got in earlier will receive them still.

  • As expected, just got an email from Amazon saying it was a price error and my order has been cancelled

  • Yep, pricing error email received, order has been cancelled ;(

    • back order or a paid order?
