    Great price.

My top recommendation to my patients, as it comes with a lot more tips that are actually useful, and the pressure is better than the portables.

Downsides are: needs power next to the sink, and countertop space. Internal tubing may fail at some point, so if you're ok with a bit of DIY, this can be fixed.

These are super useful for patients with bridges, fixed orthodontics, and teeth that are otherwise very difficult to floss normally. It is not better than flossing, and should not be considered a replacement. However, it is better than nothing, so if you insist on never using floss, this will be a good alternative.

Some claim that these can clean just inside the gumline much better than other methods, what is your opinion about that claim?

It won't get mature biofilm as good as regular floss. But the kind of person who would benefit most from this is also not the kind of person who would be able to floss 100% perfectly.

And let's face it, who can floss 100% perfectly, all the time?

TL;DR for the average person, it's probably true

    • Thanks. Would this be good for the gap between my permanent wire bonded retainer and the two teeth it holds? There's the tiniest gap in there that is just… ridiculous.

What other situations is this good for?

      • Yes, it would be good for that, though an interdental brush or superfloss might be cheaper. :P

People with gum disease who have the gap under where crown splits into several roots would also benefit from this. People with tipped teeth, so they can flush under the tooth. Lazy f***ers like me. :V

    • isnt flossing bad for you

      • If done incorrectly, anything's bad for you. Done correctly, flossing removes bacteria containing biofilm, which reduces your risk of developing decay or gum disease.

  • Could be bought for $89 from the Shaver Shop via ebay about a week ago.

I bought WP-660 at a cheaper price from amazon uk sometime back. Buy a better model from amazon, if you can wait for a deal you will get it much cheaper than this.

    • I actually found some of the European amazons would have them nice and cheap if you searched around.
I got my Panasonic from Amazon Germany for around $65 delivered when it was $85-100 everywhere else

  • What else can you use these for?

    • At top pressure, cleaning the grout between the tiles.

      • kwchaz, you provide very useful info. Where did you study? Did you do a trade after dentistry? Lol

        • Ahahaha back up in SE QLD but I work in country towns that don't always have all the bells and whistles… so you get used to thinking outside the box. ;)
