Looking for Cheap Aircon Re-Gas for Car

Hi All,

I recently changed my a/c compressor as it was faulty. Where can I get a cheap a/c re-gas in Melbourne?

  • I'm looking for one too, but I'm in Brisbane

  • The OP has stated they've changed the AC compressor hence the need for re-gas. But beware, there usually is no such things as Cheap Air Refills. Those units are sealed for a reason, and if your car is losing gas, there is most likely an underlying problem that needs resolving. It Would be negligent of a mechanic to simply top it off without addressing why there is no or low refrigerant in the first place.

    • Correct, It was losing gas through the damaged compressor. I replaced the compressor myself, but the system needs to be re-gassed now. There is a Groupon Deal for $39.00, will try this.

You better ask them to check by using colored gas, if there is a leak then you will need to fix it first.
