Missing Fallout 3 Code in Fallout 4 Xbox One bought from Target

I recently bought a Fallout 4 Xbox One Copy from Target. It is supposed to include a Fallout 3 code as well but found missing. It was an opened copy sealed by their red sticker. How do I prove them it was not included in there? I could go and ask the store. But, just wanted to know your opinion.

  • Just ask them… seriously those codes go for a few bucks each. They're going to trust a customer who returns asking for such a code (in my opinion).

    • Hmm. Thanks. Called the guy who sold that to me. Very friendly chap. He said, he doesn't remember the code being included in for any copies he sold. Asked me to contact Bethesda. Hmm..
No idea why they break the seal.

      • The box even says includes Fallout 3 though :/

  • Does the code expire? Fallout 4 is quite old now

  • I bought the Uncharted Collection (1, 2 and 3 remastered) from Big W, and their system is that you present the empty box to them and they'll put the disc and booklet / insert into the box from behind the counter, and then seal it with their white sticker.

Anyways, I get home and turns out old mate put the UC4 insert and disc in, so I had to drive back and explain and swap it.

If it's the same system they use at Target, I can definitely see the guy either forgetting or not realising to add the leaflet with the code on it. I would ignore the guy you phoned, just turn up and ask for the leaflet.

    • Hmmm. It is the same thing Target does, but they use a red sticker instead. :). I think, the sales person might have put two leaflets into another copy not knowing they are actually codes. Because he could not find any code inside where he kept it (Sounded very friendly and Genuine). He also said he could not recall placing these codes into any FO4 copies. No point in chasing this anymore. But, I left target a tweet, and they said they will call me. Will see what happens.

  • +1

    Update: tldr - Partial refund.

I wanted to stop communicating about this further and told Target I am fine with not having FO3 since I have started FO4. But, Target was adamant in resolving this and refunded partially (Sending me a Gift Card next week). Great customer Service, I would say.

It happened with Super Cheap Auto the other day as well. I was told they were out of stock on a Bargain I purchased, thus I gave them a feedback that I was upset. They delivered the Item to my door.

Thanks to all those who replied. :) Have a great new year.
