18650 Batteries - Where to buy these days?

Can anyone recommend somewhere that is still shipping reputable 18650 batteries to Australia at a reasonable price? All of the usual suspects I used to buy from (eg Banggood, Fasttech, Everbuying etc) all seem to have stopped shipping 18650 batteries to Australia. There are Australian ebay sellers who will sell the green NCR18650b's for around $10 each, but they used to be had a lot cheaper than this.

If anyone knows anywhere still shipping quality cells at a reasonable price can you let me know.

Cheers

supersports600 on ebay is a reputable Aussie seller, I have purchased from them several times.
My last batch of 18650's were LG HG2's, got them from FT in a 4 pack for a price you cannot compete with locally.
I didn't even realise they stopped shipping to AU but just tried myself and you're right.

What are you using them for?
The HG2's are the best 18650's I have ever used and apparently the VTC6's are even better but they weren't out at the time of purchase.
When my HG2's degrade I will buy VTC6's.

    • Awesome will check out supersports600.

I have quite a few torches that use the 18650's, as well as a lantern. I also occasionally slip one in a cheapo powerbank from ebay. Nothing too hardcore.

I haven't bought any for a few years, and some of them seem to be on the way out, so I'm looking for some new ones.

      Cheers

Okay fair enough, I use my degraded 18650s in my flashlights and they work fine and heaps better than the cheapo ultrafires etc.

My main use for 18650s is vaping so getting a fake battery is actually risking injury so I'm happy paying a little extra to buy from supersports600 or a known reseller of genuine batts.

That said, even when a battery degrades and is barely able to keep up in my ecig, it still performs fine in flashlights so repurposing old genuine laptop battery packs is probably your best bang for buck option.

Just keep it mind that they would most probably be well past the 500 charge cycles (or whatever the manufacturer spec is) so will not be performing as best as they could (but still better than cheapos/fakes)

Thanks! Bangood has now accepted - and then rejected - my last 3 orders for 18650 batteries with "not in stock" messages.

old 18650 from laptop still better than those fake from ebay

  • I savage my 18650 from laptops that I pick up from people's spring clean ups. Most of them are good brands like Sony, Samsung and LG, like Chenrenchun said beats those from Ebay.

    Check out lanplus australia.
They have ebay store, website or you can just rock up to their store/warehouse in Melbourne
    Get my stuff from there

  • They're all like twice the price of overseas unfortunately
