Recommendations for Monitor Mounts (That Don't Cost More than The Monitor)

Looking for a wall monitor mount - the type with an arm so that it can be adjusted in all directions. I've found a few, the ones I like are c$200 - $400 - https://www.mwave.com.au/product/startech-wallmount-singlemo…

The best I can find is this one - http://www.selby.com.au/brackets-and-wall-mounts/monitor-mou… but wanted something that could handle a larger monitor.

Does anyone know where one can buy these at a reasonable price

There's this new thing the kids are doing called ebay, try there… ;)

  • Some suggestions here are plain silly: you are looking for a wall mount arm, and they refer you to a desk mount or even a free standing arm. Different solutions.

Check eBay. Selby is very good. Practical advice: when a description says something like: "up to 24in 10kg" the only correct parameter here is "up to 10kg". "Up to 24in" is incorrect, it is copied from older brochure when monitors were much heavier. Today 27in weights typically around 5kg, and 34in around 10kg. The Selby arm you linked is capable of talking a screen considerably above 24" (but below 10kg). Another important parameter is that VESA mount needs to match your screen (typically VESA 100mm for larger units). Some screens do not have VESA mount, and thus a special non-VESA arm may be required for them. Avoid really cheap nameless Chinese models.

    • Ahh I missed that he said wall mount. Oh well, nobodies perfect.

    • Thanks for the advice!!! Had same thought regarding screen size versus weight - good to know that one can go above 24inches
