350 lumens, 900:1 contrast. This unit wasn't really made for movies in mind.

That said, not a bad price for those specs. The lamp life indicates it probably uses an LED for the lamp, so it'll also be lightweight. Good for small presentations if you're a travelling businessman, or go to conventions. Don't expect to watch movies or play games with any good detail though.

  • Probably won't be enjoying a movie with that 16:10 ratio and such low brightness and contrast. Seems like a good price for a projector with a half-decent pixel output though!

      16:10 (1280x800) is fine for 720p.

I'm currently using a Dell M110 which is a bit flaky these days and never had the best colour balance.

      M110 specs -
      Brightness: 300 ANSI lumens
      Contrast: 10,000:1 (yeah.. right).

  • It says 1299 when i open the link. Am i missing something 🤔

    • There's always one who never reads the deal body :)

That's a bit unfair. Wasn't originally in deal description. If looked at deal link, considered it, posted comment, the deal had been updated in between without seeing the changes.

That's why I posted similar question (unpublished after your response), only to find deal description updated.

        • The URL to the Soniq email was always in the deal body, the deal was updated 1 minute after posting.

          Clearly OzBargaining too fast ;)

OzBargaining at the speed of LED ;)

200x150x38mm - Man these things are small compared to projectors of old.

Very good price for these specs.. But I need to save my money for other things.. :(

I have a similar projector. Wish I had spent more to get something half decent.

So not good enough for watching a movie or footy match on a normal white wall without it being pitch black?

      • +1

        Indeed.

      • Mine is useless during the day and somewhat acceptable at night. Colours are inaccurate. Why not pay$600 for a pretty big tv?

        • Which model?

        • @Lukian: generic gearbest model. It was around $300 shipped iirc. Wish I got a benq or tv instead

        • @tomkun01: at least buying from Soniq for this one we have a 14 day return policy plus ACL "not fit for purpose" - if there's anything wrong with it.

        • @Lukian: yea. It's the technology that limits it, notsomuch the brand

Also states 3D and wifi. Hmmm

Does run android though so could be an AIO Kodi box.

  • Thanks a bunch OP, this is absolutely perfect for a little project I'm working on right now, perfect timing…at a perfect price! :D

  • Wonder if this would be any good to project on to a wall outside to watch stuff whilst sitting in the pool?

    • It should at night be, I haven't tested my Dell outside but it works with some light (pollution) indoors okay

    • Bear in mind that this does not have an onboard battery.

      • I noticed that model when I was double checking the price on this one was acceptable. The battery model was at least 2-3x the price! :) Same 0.45" display panel it seems though.
