Transport in Gold Coast

I'm going to Gold Coast with 7 other friends in the beginning of February this year for one week. We are staying at surfers Paradise and would like to figure out the best mode of transport to and from:

  • Airport
  • theme parks (movie world, wet n wild and dream world)
  • shopping centres/precinct
  • resturants

We are unable to rent a car as none of us are full license holders.

Not too sure what the cost for public transport would be and whether or not uber/taxi would be cheaper/more convenient for going to some places.

  • Uber or public transport

Go for all-day-pass tickets for $10/person/day at Translink.

  • Try Tony at GC Airport Transfer - 0419740605

Used him a year ago to get 6 people from outer suburbs to airport and back. At the time, found him to be way cheaper than taxis.

Can I assume that you are not a Government Minister?

The Tweed bus goes past the airport so that's a great cheap option to transfers.

The theme parks have free shuttle buses from Broadbeach Surfers and Southport.

The G (tram) goes through the Broadbeach Surfers and Southport shopping centres but get a card from the kiosk or newsagent to save on fares
