Anyone Here on The Wait List for a Samsung KS8000 55" from JB Hi-Fi?

Purchased a Samsung KS8000 55" on boxing day from JBHIFI for $1480. Unfortunately they had sold out but were going to get some more in stock "soon". Been a couple weeks now and my local JB has no idea when they will be back in stock but have said samsung will send them so I should get it eventually.

Anybody in the same boat and had any clarity on this? Located on the Gold Coast myself but apparently the rep says no one in the country has been given an update yet :/

Happy to wait of course. Price is back up to $2500 everywhere.

    Interesting … the guy at my JB said they were not getting anymore in as Samsung is about to release it's 2017 range (in April)!

      About 7 on the wait list at my store. Rep said QLD alone had about 300 waiting. Display is still up at my local jb and they are selling for 2500 so I assume they must have some confirmation to be allowed to keep selling?

    Get 60 inch 8 Series Samsung from Good Guys - $1995.

    On the waiting list for the 65inch at Harvey Norman in sunshine. Was told series 8 TVs coming in March.

    They are still 60" KS8005's going around. They're about 2k? The 55" is 1.5k and the 65" is 2.5k so if you're looking for that sweet spot in between, go the 8005! :)

      yeah some retailers seem to have some stock, but none in JB nationally!

        I found one at TGG but I just spoke to the JBHIFI rep again who told me most stores should start getting stock in the next 2 weeks. My store (harbour town) apparently is around 2nd feb. He did give me the option of getting a refund for $1480 if I wanted to go and purchase the 60" KS8005 for $1980 from TGG but he told me that this isn't a pure KS8000 model and the quality wasn't as good. I can't seem to find anything on the internet about it but it seems only a few places sold that model. It also looks a little different with a different bezel ect.

        Not sure if he just said that to convince me not to get a refund or not ( I am sure he could have easily sold it anyway)

    I'm still waiting for my 65" purchased through JB HiFi on Christmas Eve. The very next day Harvey Norman put up their sale for the same price. Since the new year, Harvey Norman sold out of all of their stock and have had another supply so are back in stock as of writing (of course back to $3700). JB HiFi are now telling me it will be "sometime in March." Utter BS. The fact that I purchased on Xmas Eve means I bought as soon as their sale started so they must have been very low on stock to begin with. Will definitely be thinking again before I purchase anything from JB HiFi that I'm not physically staring at in store. Absolute rockshow. I'm in Darwin.
