  • Why would you get it from Kogan when Officeworks is cheaper?

  • Quiet a common question.
Essentially Apple AU will take care of you for the first 12 months.
If the iPhone was an AU model through proper AU channels, Apple would take care of you for 24 months.

Kogan/DS advertise in their warranty policy that in the event you need to make a claim within Kogan/DS advertised 1 year warranty period they would take care of you (I would imagine they would just forward to Apple AU for a zero cost to them repair).

I hope that answers your Q

    • 24 months is what apple advertises but it reality its more like 3 yrs.

If you are already spending $1k with Kogan, I would rather spend $1,100 with a local seller and be confident in the warranty I am receiving.

yep.. Im inclined to do that now.. pay a little more for peace of mind

  • I had a Macbook repaired for free at about 15 months by Apple, I bought it from Kogan.. In saying that, I don't know whether my situation was just a once off, or whether it was because it was a laptop, either way it was still out of the regular 'warranty terms'.
