Just a note, which may not be totally obvious, this requires wired internet connection - no wifi. Great deal, but means I can't take advantage of it :(.

Then perhaps try the $60 one shown further down the eBay page, for an extra $16.

It may or may not be of interest to 911r; but does the $60.95 DMP-BDT370GN support Netflix?

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Panasonic-Blu-Ray-Player-DMP-BDT3…

Pretty sure the DMPBD84GNK does as I got one a while back for the mother in law and the Panasonic site shows Netflix on the product page:
        http://www.panasonic.com/au/consumer/home-entertainment/blu-….

Where the BDT370GN page has no mention of Netflix:
        http://www.panasonic.com/au/support/product-archives/home-en…

Just curious myself, as I would like the DLNA abilities of the BDT370GN if it supports Netflix, it would be handy for the spare room at the price available.

Go to the bottom of the link you provided for BDT370GN and download the owner's manual PDF (Operating Instructions). Go to the search box at the top of the PDF and search for Netflix. This is what I got (on page 18): http://imgur.com/a/ch93V

        • @AussieDaddy:

Cheers. Well that answers that :)

Considering the built in WiFi, 3d, dnla etc. All for $16 more than the DMPBD84GNK; The BDT370GN looks like a good deal!

          Thanks for the effort.

        • @inabeyance: No worries, mate. :)

        • I'd be wary, fine print says "apps and accessories vary depending on the country. Some of the services are not available in the BDT167, BD94 and BD84 (Internet apps (simple))"

I have this model and yes it does have Netflix but after using it for this purpose a few times I went back to using the TV app and now the PS4. The machine is just to clunky for everything except dvd's and blu-rays, which it does quite well. I was not happy with any other form of video viewing with this machine, netflix, dlna, usb playback; whichever way you go the picture seems to stutter or be a little blocky or even slightly out of sync with audio. Maybe I got a dud unit but I am not happy with it and I have had it for well over 12 months now. And it is agonizingly slow at times just to top it off.

        • @Vermin76: what about via usb drive? im hoping to replace my popcorn hour with this

  • Do any of the models mentioned above, upscale video content from the external hard drive?

  • -1

Will this let you record via usb/HDD?

  • How does Netflix run on the WiFi blu ray player? Does anyone have experience with it, is there much lag etc?

D'oh! BD84 is out of stock now
    And BDT370GN.

too slow to pull the trigger.

  • can this be made to play USA BLU RAYS? I have a bunch of CRITERION blu rays i cant play since my old player died.

It's not my day. Finally went to buy the BD83, but click&collect isn't working, kept coming up with 'doesn't post to your address'.
I suspect Grays just revoked the free postage option.

Edit - BD83 now sold out too.

All gone. Post should be marked as expired now.
