Rust is really good at that price because it will never go on sale while in early access according to Garry.

    • +1

I've seen it on sale half a dozen times or so in the past year. Pretty sure Garry changed his mind after saying that 3 something years ago.

  • rust at that price is a bargain.

  • +3

Been wanting to play Victor Vran and Shadowrun, nice deal.

  • +17

    Best of 2016? Hardly …

    • -2

Best most random obscure games of 2016 that we've likely never even heard of bundle.

      • +14

What rock are you living under if you've never heard of Rust, Shadowrun, Stronghold Crusader, or Homeworld?

        • +18

Despite following plenty of gaming forums and YouTube channels, the only one of those that I've heard of is Rust

So get off your high horse you indie lover

        • +18

          @Rail Rider95:

You haven't heard of Homeworld? That series was HUGE…. 15 years ago.

        • @Sxio:
          😂

It's also not the first time I've heard of the stronghold games
But I heard nothing about one last year lol

        • +5

@Rail Rider95: It's decent. I recommend it if you like slow space battles. Eye candy levels are over 9000.

      • +1

Undeserved negs. Tier 1 is full of unknowns

    • It's meant to be highlights of 2016 bundles, not the best games of 2016 overall. But by all means, don't read the actual info and then criticise it for not being something it's not meant to be.

      • -2

I read the info. I don't believe these are the best games out of all the 2016 bundles.

  • +1

Thanks, BTA is $4.87 AUD at the moment

    • $3.68USD now.

      • +2

was 2.8USD while we were all sleeping

        • +1

Yea, goes up fast, then slows down a bit.

          Now at $3.81USD

        • I saw the price went up when I was posting.

        • +1

@wlqrichard: You pay the price showed on the page rather than the actual price. In other words, once you opened it up in a browser tab, the price is fixed. So you can open multiple tabs at different time and choose the lowest one.

Almost bought Else Heart.Break() from the Humble Bundle Store sale. Good thing I hesitated. :)

  • +8

Community of rust kills the game, its toxic. Otherwise good.

    • +3

      Friendly! -downvotes your comment-

    • +1

Its just the immaturity really, but that's the gaming scene in general.

    • Disagree; not the entire community, just a sub-section of it.

I have spent 150 happy hours on Rust, and only maybe 10 that were 'toxic' as you claim. I spent several hours last night chatting and playing alongside a total stranger.

Just have to spend some time finding a server where there's few idiots.

  • +1

Evoland 2 is a pretty fun game also, would recommend

  • Any idea if they are individual keys or tiered keys?

    • +4

      They are individual keys.

  • +1

Sadly those games were all so good that I have them all already (Except 2 that I don't want). I'm pretty sure I paid more than twice that price for all of them :(

  • +11

Anyone want my codes for Else heart break, stronghold crusader 2 or victor vran? Not really interested in playing them.

    • I'll happy take stronghold crusader, it'll save me the effort of buying it just for that.

      • +1

        Just Pm'd you :)

    • +1

Could I grab Victor Vran please? I'll definitely be playing it with a friend. Let me know if you want anything for a dollar on the HB store.

    • -2

There are always stupid and ignorant people who beg without a good reason or justification.
      What fun, hey?!?!

    • Woud love else heart break please

    • +1

      codes are all gone now

      • +3

        Thank you for your generosity.

  • +2

Shadowrun Hong Kong is a great game.

    • +2

Hows it compare to Returns and Dragonfall? I loved Wasteland 2 but couldn't get into these Shadowrun games, the virtual-levels just annoyed me

      • +3

I liked Hong Kong the best of the Shadowrun games. The graphics were definitely a step up from previous games and the online decker hacking mode was a lot better executed as well. The companions you can get were also a lot more interesting (Zombie Street Samurai ftw!) My only gripe was that it was a bit too short.

        • Thanks, sounds worth a shot for $4 :)

  • +1

Anyone want a Stronghold Crusader 2 key?

    • Yes please! Really hoping to play some coop but don't want to buy a second bundle.

      • PM sent.

        • Thanks mate, much appreciated!

  • Good price for Rust. Haven't heard of the other games though.. (besides Homeworld but over $10 so.. eh).

  • +3

Goddamn regretting jumping on Homeworld: remastered. If I'd waited, I'd have had so many opportunities to get it for a steal.

I've gotten my money's worth out of it. Maybe less so when I consider that I paid full price for the originals.

Great game though. Very slow. Don't start any new games after 11pm, you WILL nod off before you've built any big ships.

    • How the controls? I really wanted to like the originals but just couldn't make any actually strategy work, always just ended up mass rushing everything (which I'm fine with if it works!)

      • +2

It's exactly the same but formations in HW1 are broken.

If you weren't feeling it before, then it'll be the same now.

The real strategy is having the right mix of ships. Then you just launch them at the enemy and enjoy the pretties. At least, that's how I play it.

        • The real strategy is having the right mix of ships. Then you just launch them at the enemy and enjoy the pretties. At least, that's how I play it.

Thanks, sounds perfect! I could never get those attack-from-the-flanks coordinated things to work, disheartening after spending ages putting squadrons "high" and "low" and just completely failing. Then always worrying if you'd ever recover from losing some cool ship, and finding out way down the track that nope, gotta start again!

Still, I really loved the vibe of the game though, happy to just watch things fly and explode… maybe there's an "Easy" difficulty setting ;)

        • +2

@nuchalis: That's definitely the way to enjoy it man. Just remember, no games after 11pm, you'll be nodding off at the keyboard!

  • Rust early access, does that mean it is a demo?
Do you still have the game once its live?

    • +1

You pay for the current state of the game now and get the full version when it launches.

      • +1

Whenever it launches you mean ;)

      • Well, unless they do what ARK: Survival Evolved did (Getting their players to buy DLCs even though it's still in early access)

    • +1

It's in development and you can play while they're updating the game constantly.

Think of it like Minecraft, how it was in Alpha, then Beta etc.

      http://store.steampowered.com/earlyaccessfaq/

As a general rule of thumb, Early Access games are buggy, unbalanced and sometimes completely broken.

Most of the time people can get their game greenlit of steam and update it once every year with minor patches and people will still buy it.

Next Car Game for example; check out the reviews http://store.steampowered.com/app/228380/

Don't get me wrong, some of my favourite games are in early access. Battlerite for example.

But generally they are of poor quality.

  • +1

++ on good price for Rust.

  • I have some old keys sitting in my a/c for Talisman that idk if they have expired or not if anyone is interested in trying their luck.

    Here, First in wins.
    Talisman Digital Edition: W4XV6-ACYQB-9745Y
    Talisman Gambler Character: 8FV5Y-3W76K-N9PDE
    Talisman Proluge: ITZN2-BYIDV-3P8DZ

    • logged in just to say, they have been taken already.

      • Did you try the third key?

    • +1

      Thanks!
Have taken the first and second key (second key unlocks character, requires base game).
Third key should still be free as its similar to first key.

  • +1

just pointing out - ALL of these games have been in previous Humble Bundle bundles (hence the small graphic next to each game on the HB page - it shows which bundle it was from) - so check in case you already have keys for these.

  • +1

I think this is the best value humble bundles in a long while.

Rust & HW: Remastered for less than $15 with a few other decent games thrown in? Yes please!

  • Ooh nostalgia.. so many hours wasted on Stronghold and building my perfect castle and clocking all the economic missions!

  • +3

Oh yipee, influx of Rust naked scrubs to farm flesh off.

  • +1

I enjoyed Evoland… Evoland 2 has been on my wishlist for a while, so glad I didn't buy it at 50% off on steam

  • +1

$3.85 for Rust! Cheers, also have 4 other game keys that just increase my number in Steam and a duplicate copy of Shadowrun: HK.

  • Any Ozbargainers wanna start off together in Rust?

    • +2

We'd try to find the best locations of loot, helping each other along, informing everyone of such loot and then someone would kill us all and take that lovely loot all for themselves. Broden.

      • +1

And then it will be on eBay

  • +1

I am not interested in rust, someone want trade for my type of game, decent platformer, or a story driven game.

    • pm me if you want to trade for Tomb Raider: Underworld

      • sorry mate i waited for half a day then ended up activating on steam
