Hi guys,

Went to JB Hifi today to get a asus N61. retail was $1500 i think, it was on special.

i asked them to price match the invoice 'vmathews2204' gave [ thank you very very much :) ]

thinking it wouldnt work in perth cause its a NSW store. it did :)

so i got it for $1260

Got a price from ShopRite for N61JQ-JX002V ex display http://www.shoprite.com.au and $920.00 this morning. picked it up they told me sold out.

They had it on display for $1647. First salesman didn't believe it was on sale for $1497,

I didn't want to argue with him, so wasted a bit of time checking out the Asus N61Jq. Which is the
advertised N61Jv i7-720 with ATI 5730.

Second salesman came to me and he was a lot less intense and more relaxed. So I hit him up with a
pricematch. Showed him a printout of your receipt and got it for $1260. He had to get the manager to
authorise it, as that price is below their cost price. Brand new in the box i7-720 with ATI 5730.
I was looking at the Asus G73 gaming laptop but this is half the price for similar specs.

I know this is a bit of a late bump… But maybe there are other late comers like myself…

After approaching a few places to price match, no one was willing or able to match this deal. Eventually I ended up in Clive Anthony, who were able to beat the price!
I picked up the N61JQ-JV002 (i7-720, 4Gb, 640, ATI5730. DVDRW, WiFi N etc) for $1199.
Yes, it is a 640Gb HDD and under $1200! Very happy with the results!

Also, While I was there, I picked up a BluRay player, with USB input supporting DIVX and MKV for $99 which I was stoked with.

wow thats pretty good deal .

i believe that this particular model has stopped production very soon and most places are clearing it. thats y so cheap xD
