Hungry Jacks - How to Order?

It seems no matter how I describe an order (custom but still pretty simple) at Hungry Jacks they always need to start over again and I have to repeat myself at least once if not more. I guess it's due to their registers. None of these problems at McDonalds.

It seems they need to know whether it's a meal at the beginning, so I do that but even then it's still a disaster.

Example

Veggie with cheese
Large meal
Add Peri Peri sauce
Add pickles
Substitute onion rings

What is the correct order to order?

  • Veggie burger with cheese, add Peri Peri Sauce, No pickles in a large meal with onion rings and whatever you want for the drink :)

Large veggie with cheese meal changes to burger change to rings with a sprite.

There are separate buttons for the burger and meal, and if you go and make all these changes then say a meal it's hard to delete it all.
And specific a whopper with or without cheese as these are separate buttons too.

      with or without cheese

there should just be a trapdoor at the counter and anyone who orders a whopper without cheese falls down and gets eaten by alligators or something.

      • I had one once, by force, in ~1997 they were doing some ridiculously cheap offer ($1.30?) that applied strictly only to Whopper no cheese.

It was actually not bad. There is enough grease in the patty to make up for the lack of cheese.

        • "cheese"

    • Thanks food. I note this isn't much different to what I have been trying, but I will try to parse it better.

Should I leave short gaps to allow time for them to punch in, or will that make them think I've finished the order and cause confusion?

      • I can generally process the info quickly so as long as you're not speaking fast you'll be right

    • Thats great Food, just a follow up question - Whats the best way to order this with the BOGOF coupon?

      • Well if you want say different specials on separate burgers
"Voucher for Two Bacon Deluxes for $6.95, can I have one with no bacon and the other with no lettuce or mayo"
We have no way of separating the burgers if that makes sense so the receipt may look messed up but hopefully it's correct.

  • Don't the veggie whoppers always have cheese anyway?
