How to transfer cheap mobile credit to current prepaid number.

Hi All,
I purchased a bundled of the cheap $2 Woolworths sims that had $30/3gb a mth deal last year. I have activated one for my son to use but we are nearing the end of the 30days and need to transfer more credit to his active number. Can someone please advise how to do this.
TIA:)

    Port out -> Port in.

  • for the past couple of years ive just been using these cheap prepaid packs. the catch is that at the end of the month you need to switch providers. so if you have a bunch of woolworths sims, go get some cheap optus/vodafone for alternative months. you need to make sure that they run on a different network, so you cant go from woolworths->telstra. reason being that porting within a network takes a lot longer, like a day or two. porting to different networks can be as quick as a 10 minutes, but it needs to be within business hours
    it can sound like a lot of hassle, but its really only a few minutes filling out a form once a month, and you should never need to pay more than half price for a prepaid sim

    telstra has a way to share credit between sims, which I think you are asking for. theres a good way to do it, but you need a dual-sim phone (and telstra sims)

    the comment suggesting port out and back in could work if you cant find a cheap alternative sim, and would only cost $2 for a blank one. but i think i tried it once and got tripped up by a time limit or something, and was stuck waiting a few days before i could port back

  • Does you son receive calls on that number and would it be too much hassle for the callers to change numbers? If not, just get a new number each starter pack.
