Making Pastes, E.g. Curry Pastes - What Is The Best Appliance to Use?

I want to start making my own curry pastes, e.g. Thai Green curries etc. I don't want to have to do all the tedious work with the mortar and pestle so I was wondering if anyone has a good option for making paste. I have a Vitamix, so this would probably do it, but I want something relatively small as I don't want to waste the paste coating the inside. I have a bamix with a wet and dry attachment, does anyone recommend I go down that path?" I would rather get advice than "suck it and see" and waste ingredients. Thanks for the assistance.

  • I use the bamix attachment and it works fine for me. I'd be careful of using it with lemongrass, that stuff can be tough.
