    floorpaper - what's that?

    • -1

Wall paper but on the floor. Not sure what it is called but it is not carpet wood tiles stone or otherwise. There is most likely wood or concrete underneath but it has like a wrapping layer above similar to wallpaper but more sturdy obviously imho.

      • Vinyl flooring

      • Vinyl?

        • Yes it is vinyl flooring.

I got one. Then my partner bought one. Now his sister bought one too. My rug has never looked cleaner. Excellent suction. Plus its bagless too. If you buy a gift card through cashrewards you can get an egift card with 5% off

    • Thanks I will look into this.

I can't suggest a vacuum for that price range. At least not one that is decent.

What I can suggest, is that you get a bagged Miele. Yes I know, they are expensive and above your price range. But I bit the bullet after owning a few $100 Haris Scarfe special and the Miele destroys them.

My floors have never been cleaner.

Don't get a Dyson bagless, whatever you do. They are overpriced rubbish.

    • Bagless seems all the rage, but hard to beat the suction and lifespan of a bagged Miele.

Replacement OEM bags cost me $5-6 but all I need to do us remove it and bin it. Even the bag has a spring loaded cap that closes when I open the vacuum. With a bagless you have to regularly disassemble the dust bucket to remove all the crap from the cones.

I like the idea of bagless but it's not as convenient as everyone makes it out to be.

    • How much is a Miele and what brand etc?

Miele is a brand…surely something you can google?

You would think so but the whole purpose of this site is to alert and share with others great feedback on good products and good prices without having to do all or much of the research on your own. Someone on this website is a vacuum expert or has good experiences with one and that person and information is what i am seeking. Amazon reviews/whirlpool comments and what not can only tell you part of the story but I tend to like to see an ozbargainers point of views and perspectives as I know most ozbargainers never settle for less than high quality and report back bad or not bang for buck quality.. also overall i just value their input highly because we are an awesome community. But thanks for your useful input it will be duly noted in future. Next time add more information but it's okay it is probably your first time we have all been there don't worry.

Welcome to ozbargain come for the deals stay for the banter.

@AlienC: I was specifically responding to your previous comment. I am happy to discuss things, (that's the point of forums, right?) but when you just write "How much is a Miele and what brand etc?" It reads like "How much is a Holden and what brand etc?" which doesn't make any sense?

I suspect on second reading you meant… "and what model…", but that is not what you wrote.

Even if you wrote model, how can someone tell you how much a brand of vacuum costs? There are a wide variety of models at varying price points.

Next time add more information but it's okay it is probably your first time we have all been there don't worry.

Oh thanks, how very condescending of you.
Next time I will just ignore anything you post.

Perhaps if you wrote what you intended, you would get better responses.

        • @John Kimble: lol i know i was just tired when i wrote that and cbb to fix it or change it.. Also i was waiting for someone like you to show up haha lol.. deez nuts.. Got eem!

      • The C3 is $400+
Bing Lee has 20% off their eBay store

        • Is this the same as the $300 one a few months ago. I forgot which model it was but every body gave good ratings and reviews for it. I think i might bargain hunt that one down and give it a go.

        • @AlienC:

For $300, that sounds like the Miele C1. This one is the entry model and only has a 1400 watt motor.

You really want the 2000 watt models like the C3. Although it's $449 on Bing Lee eBay ($360 with 20% off coupon)

I have a Kambrook CaptivG3. Had it for at least 7 years and still goes good. Good value for money compared to Dyson and other more expensive brands. A few cons, shortish cord that doesn't retract as well any more and most of the time have to empty/clean it out after every full vacuum (2.5 bed unit with two rugs).

Also sucks so hard that it pulls up the kitchen vinyl laminate!
