edit: j4ck reported that the korea battle net store only accepts battle.net payment, however the taiwan stores accepts paypal so use that if the korea store is not working for you

  • Anyone know the difference between the origin version and Windows version ?

    • +3

The Origin version just has some minor extra content, nothing that will impact your actual gameplay experience - http://overwatch.wikia.com/wiki/Origins_Edition

It's just like a collectors edition kind of thing.

      • +2

Yup exactly, I think the only worth while thing from it was Soldier 76's skin but everything else is pretty underwhelming.

    • +2

Confused me for a second there. I thought this game was on EA's Origin service.

  • +1

The Korean version only accepts a Battle.net payment (no PayPal or credit cards)

    • Hmm seems like you need to have a associated region account to add bnet balance.

      • Yeah, that's right. Oh well, grabbed it from the Taiwanese link. ~$27 is still a great price!

    • Are you still playing no mans sky?

    • -1

Yeah don't really understand the hype… its just a modern team fortress 2 for casuals. Yes I've played the game a lot.

I have nothing against the game, but it should be $15 or free 2 play, not $60 or whatever they are asking on Battle.net

      Bring on the downvotes!

      • for casuals

        What does that even mean?

        • +1

Casual games means gameplay is very simplified and changed to suit people of all ages and levels of interest in gaming.

Its not a bad thing, I just don't like games like that.

        • It means "I'm a (profanity)".

        • @samfisher5986:

          Nah yeah yeah yeah
Pretty much the same with League of Legends, simplified, compared with Dota 2.

Just alot of butthurt fanboy neg-ed because they got defensive with blizzard that's all.
They cant even take slight criticism

      • Yeah Paladins is f2p, probably a similar experience

  • +1

Does not work for me, says I need "battlenet" money and then tells me I need to purchase it in my own region.

Anyone have a way that works?

    EDIT: the 2nd link works
EDIT EDIT: Thanks OP, I have been waiting to get this cheap forever, was originally hoping for ps4 version but Ill take what I can get!

    • you are welcome :)

    • hoping for ps4 version but Ill take what I can get!

… you wouldn't rather play with a mouse?

      • Some console shooter fans prefer their controllers. As long as everyone else is using the same controllers, it's not a disadvantage.

  • How are you guys purchasing it via the second link? I've tried PayPal and it just errors out saying that there is a problem with my PayPal payment. Every other place I use PayPal with works fine.

    • Nevermind, worked out that you need to pay via VISA/MASTERCARD. Amex won't work.

      • Disregard. I selected AMEX but it reverted back to my bank account. Wtf…

        • +2

That's why I removed my bank account from Paypal, way too convenient for them to debit from it.

        • Thanks for the tip.

          I'll do that right now.

        • @mashimus: Exactly. They'll try everything they can to stop you using AMEX and force you to use your bank. Now Amex is the only option after removing my bank :)

  • Awesome, bought from TW link. Thanks for the heads up! =D

    • no worries, enjoy!

  • +2

This is great news for me, thanks OP

edit: yes i also used 2nd link, paid NT$650 with paypal

    • +1

no worries, looks like only the tw store accepts paypal, weird

  • Can you play this on Steam/with Steam friends?

    • +2

Nope. Blizzard games are not on Steam. You will need a Battle.Net account.

  • How do we activate this?

  • Do you need to create a TW battlenet account? Or can you use your AU battlenet account?

    • Just login with your AU/US battle.net account and purchase it. It will be added to your library.

      • Thanks! There is a flag top right corner that lets you change it to TW.

      • It's not in there

        • What's not where?

Look at your order history and check if the transaction went through.

  • Purchased using the Taiwan link, cheers OP!

  • Great deal. Used the Taiwan link since I was originally from there in the first place.

  • +1

    Hi guys,

I followed the link and I was wondering if there's a way to grab it on PS4? Or is this PC only

    Thanks!

  • I'm confused. How do i buy this with a credit card? Can someone give me instructon ? thanks

    • +1

Don't use the Korea one. Try second Taiwanese link

  • Thanks op, Korea link didn't allow me to pay by paypal, however Taiwan did. was waiting for a sale for a while

    • +1

      no worries, enjoy the game!

  • Tried to use the Taiwan link, looks like they have taken my cash but game isnt working in my battle.net :/

    • it should work, did you pay via paypal?

      • can i pay with credit card?

        • -1

          Yes.

        • @Diji1:

When it say "pay with", do i select neweb credit card? since im using a card

    • Had a similar issue, just hung on the loading install screen, nothing but the loading icon.
Right-click on battle-net then Run as Administrator seemed to fix it for me.

      • Also had to re-install battle net, maybe I am just impatient, was sitting on "waiting on another installation" for too long.
At least the download is going.

  • When playing do you guys launch with Americas, Asia or Europe region?

  • Is this the cheapest it's ever been?

  • Keeps saying that the page has redirected you too many times..

EDIT:Accounts created with facebook don't appear to work? Created account with email only and works.

  • +1

Great pickup! I just bought myself a copy of Overwatch from the Taiwan store. Thanks OP

  • What pings do you guys get?

Asian server I get almost 200 ping, and Americas is 233.

That's not a big difference. 200 is disappointing for Asian region.

    • Where do you live?
Approx 200 ping on Asian server and between 20~40 ping on US server and I'm on the Gold Coast with ADSL.
However, 200 Ping is more comfortable to me than 20.

      • Melbourne. Using MyRepublic Gamer plan. I got improved pings of 25-50ms for other games compared to TPG.

Why is the US server lower ping? Where is the server located?

        • Actually it's in Australia if you choose US server. The system find opponents lower ping based.
How about using ping booster software?

        • @mckim: Is it peer to peer?

  • Got it. $26.54 AUD apparently. Thanks OP

    • Oops forgot PayPal charges fees. $28.60 - still a good deal :)

      • -1

        Hmmm.

Unless policies have changed, the seller is supposed to pay the fees and cannot pass them on. Many still do, but a reputable company like Blizzard I'd expect would follow the T&C.

I paid my bills the other day. Said credit cards would incur a surcharge, but Paypal would not, even though Paypal costs the recipient a percentage of fees. AGL dared not break Paypal's T&C.

  • tried second link and my payment wouldn't go through. i tried with paypal which hasn't ever really failed before but it failed now. the credit card option also failed, even after doing an extra bank security check. oh well.

    • I got it fine.

Paid via Paypal using 28 Deg MC.

  • when i go to buy the game i see that it says it for the asia region, i dont play on asia, is the purchase universal so i can play it on the americas region

    • yeah blizzard games typically don't have region lock

  • is anyone getting issues with the purchase? I've tried with different browsers and different computers but the "Buy for Windows 64 bit" button doesn't work ):
error is about too many redirects on chrome and it just doesn't work on IE.

  • Interesting to see all this talk about American region. Isn't this an FPS? Wouldn't you need Australian servers to get anything playable?

  • Looks like the Taiwanese link is down!

How would I purchase it through the Korean?

  • Is it me or has this jumped back up to 1300NT?

  • I think its expired :(

  • After a few days of playing, this is now my favourite game. Having a blast with mates who also took advantage of this deal. :) Thanks OP!

  • If anyone has a code and looking to sell, I am looking to buy
