Looking for Cheaper Alternative to The Memobottle Water Bottle

Hi,

I am looking for a water bottle that fits nicely in a work bag such as this one: https://www.memobottle.com.au/ It is skinny so it doesn't interfere with fitting in other items such as a regular water bottle would. The memobottle price is quite expensive though for what it is (a $42 water bottle does not sound very OzBargainer like!). I have seen cheap rip offs on eBay from China but would prefer something in the middle as far as price and quality goes.

Does anyone know of a different water bottle that would fulfill the same purpose but is more affordable? Being, that it seamlessly fits in a medium sized work bag compartment.

Many thanks.

goon bag? partially filled it will fit anywhere

  • Holy carp that's a wide bottle

  • I want the A1 version

    • A0 is way better.

      • My bag was made in the USA. Whenever I try to put this in it, it says "US LETTER LOAD"

Surely the website copy makes it worth buying the original memobottle(TM)?

Who comes up with this stuff?

eBay is your friend; there are plenty of cheap Chinese copies available. (blocked at work so can't provide a link)

    • Not sure how trustworthy a cheap Chinese copy is for a daily use water bottle.

According to the Kickstarter page the originals were manufactured in Taiwan, so more or less the same thing as manufactured in China depending on who you speak to.

I would say it is likely they come out of the same factory, or the one next door.

Ultimately it is your choice, but if you don't want to pay $42, you know where to go.

      • You want a cheaper version but don't like Chinese copies. Can you see the irony right there?

        • Right. The purpose of my post was to find something similar to solve the problem but not at the same price point. It doesn't necessarily have to be a similar design. Anyway, I am leaning towards trying the Aliexpress copy posted below.

That memobottle looks pretty cool. i'd consider getting one if there was a 600mL. A5 too big and A6 too small

    • The A5 has a 750ml capacity. I have one myself.

You could wait for a regular 20% code/sale at rushfaster would bring it down closer to $30

Could try the code MEMO and see if that works

Easy. Hydration reservoir for back packs - cheaper, lighter, will fit almost everywhere and even is more skinny when empty.
