    I really like Monteith's Pointers Pale Ale, BWS had two 6 packs for $30 on the weekend. Not a bargain but good for when my mate had no more beer in the house.

  Disappointing… hopefully they have a decent carton offer soon as they did the past 2 months on cricketers arms!

    I remember really liking the orchard thieves. I've had twisted sister recently and it's more of a champagne cider, not my cup of tea.

      Yeah i looked them up and looks like twisted sister is also made with red apples? is it a red fizzy cider? is it sweet or dry though?
      and did you find orchard thieves sweet or dry?

    It's my favourite cider and I'm ecstatic it's back, definitely worth a try. Very light flavour and in-mouth feel, not kinda syrupy like others, relatively high carbonation.

        Ah… it looks like they might've changed it since I last had it (it was in cans, then discontinued), so I'm not quite sure what it's like now. It was fairly medium in terms of sweetness vs dryness, with a bit of sour in there as well. I'm a terrible judge of these things, so… haha. It's definitely nowhere near as sweet as others (Somersby, for example), so I think it's nicely balanced. I just picked up a few 6 packs, so I'll report back later.

        Ok yeah, so the Orchard Thieves is still pretty good. A little bit less tasty due to the slightly increased alcohol content (4.5% vs 4.0%), but that's just me being picky. Overall it's a little sweet, but not overbearingly so, more of an undertone than an assault on your tastebuds like some others. A hint of sourness in the initial and after tastes. Has a bit of a savoury middle… not sure I'd call it dry, but it's not quite sweet or sour. And that's about all the wanky taste descriptors I know, hah.

        I don't claim to have tried every cider out there for a good comparison, but overall, still pretty good in my books. Very light, very drinkable. Being 1.2 std, of course it's quite drinkable, but even then I think it's good for what it is. All subjective, of course, but I think it's worth a try. Quite a good deal at $10 for a 6 pack. I'll probably go pick up more when my local DM's has restocked.
