Up to 4x Free $15 7-Eleven Fuel Voucher with 2L+ Fuel Purchase on App [First 200 Users, NSW, ACT, VIC, WA & QLD]

430

It's a repeat of this deal, but for the first 200 users this time!
Since it's exactly the same, I'll just copy the description in:

Steps:
- Purchase 2L or more of fuel from 7-Eleven using fuel lock app
- Post a pic of your receipt to the 7-Eleven Facebook page (Use tag #FuelAppSavings)
- Receive $15 credit for future fuel purchase using the app

7-11 posted the comp 9 hours ago, and from what I can see, there aren't many valid entries yet.

  • Up to 4x free $15?

  • Is it me or does this post make no sense?

OK I finally got it now… This bargain Caused my brain to crash for a while

There's a separate forum for competitions.

    • Sorry, thought it was posted as a deal last time. Mods, feel free to move to competitions section :)

    • +1

Yes there is. But by definition this is not a competition, so doesn't belong in that forum. Explained last deal
      Accepted as deal previously.

Like most deals, there is limited supply - but now doubled over last deal. So get in early.
You can see if you are in the first 200 on Facebook before purchase.

Sage…someone venerated for the possession of wisdom, judgment, and experience (or a tasty herb)
      Maybe not this time😢

      • I'm starting to think it's actually a competition. If you go through the Facebook comments sorted by "Most Recent", the 7 Eleven rep only declares a winner every 10 or so comemnts.

Quite contracting to the photo description.

THEN be one of the first 200 people to share your savings receipt and you will get a $15 credit on your Fuel App!

          I'm starting to think
you didn't read the T&C or the reps reasons based on those T&C to reject claims…

There are other t&c than just post your receipt. Those also must be met to receive credit. (Posted below)

The first one I looked at didn't meet the savings t&c. I put it in bold below to warn people - because some people don't read deals correctly or t&c & complain! Rep correctly refused it on that basis.

That person was only using the fuel lock app to pay for petrol, not to lock in cheaper fuel price, then buy. The promoters want people to lock in savings, present cheaper petrol price & show how app saves money. That is - follow the T&C.

        • @Infidel:

Yes I did read the terms and conditions. Yes there are invalid entries. Did you actually read my comment, or at least go through the photos and try to understand my observation? It appears that there are valid entries and the rep just skips them.

I just figured it out. The rep is just very slowly declaring winners starting from yesterday. Even though it appears like he's been skipping entries, his reply to the entry bumps up the entry from yesterday.

Now, I don't appreciate you patronising me when you did not fully understand my problem. That's just rude.

        • @ronnknee:
I didn't think your misguided theory (outside of the T&C) proving this is a competition was worth investigating.

You didn't seem to understand the t&c of the promotion. What you think you saw after sorting is just an aberration. Examining your claims show its just not true.

The primary condition for claiming the credit is to correctly use the app, buy petrol using the locked in price, post a photo of receipt showing that valid claim.

The first 200 valid claims received will receive credit.

That is different to the first 200 claims that are validated - it's up to the promoter to determine in which order and how long it takes to validate a claim. But the first 200 submitted that meet the T&C receive the credit.

I doubt they will just take the photo as proof - so will have to be checked against their data. So some claims may take longer to process.

No need for your sorting & theory to explain how the promoter responds to individual claims prove it's a competition. (Without sorting I can't see any issues - rep responded to so many in a row, just not the latest ones.)

Rep don't have to respond at all - that's not covered by t&c. It's just good for social media. And not yet responding to a claim doesn't invalidate it.

Rep's response is pretty irrelevant for this promotion & seems more to guide people to create valid claims.

They aren't picking every 10th one or so as a winner as you claim. That would be against the t&c. Looking at unsorted comments shows the claim is ridiculous.

          @Infidel:

Examining your claims show its just not true. … Looking at unsorted comments shows the claim is ridiculous.

Well that's because you looked at the unsorted comments which wouldn't have validated my observation or claim.

I didn't think your misguided theory (outside of the T&C) proving this is a competition was worth investigating.

So basically you didn't bother trying to understand my observation and just accuse me of not reading the terms and conditions. Wow. Sounds like a typical bad rep behaviour.

They aren't picking every 10th one or so as a winner as you claim. That would be against the t&c.

Just because it's in the terms and conditions, it's not impossible for them to not follow it; and I was challenging that. Your response is pretty much "Oh because it's in the T&C, therefore they are following it". That's terrible logic.

You know what? Here's an example of why your logic is bad. Check 7.D.

To enter, eligible individuals must then complete the following steps during the Entry Period: … include the hashtag “#fuelappsavings” in the comment field of that post (“Entry Post”).

Many of of the winning entries did not do that, yet they are still deemed eligible. Your logic has failed. Now, they're just being nice and accepted them anyway so that's good. I'm just showing you that the terms and conditions are not necessarily followed, and that it's okay to challenge that behaviour.

  • Note:
    t&c:
To enter, eligible individuals must then complete the following steps during the Entry Period:
    a) use the Fuel App to lock in a fuel price (”Locked-In Price”). Once a fuel price has been locked in, the entrant will receive a fuel lock voucher (“Fuel Lock Voucher”), which can be used at any 7-Eleven in NSW, ACT, VIC, WA and QLD to purchase fuel using the Locked-In Price;
    b) use their Fuel Lock Voucher to purchase 2 litres or more of fuel in a single transaction at any 7-Eleven Store in Australia within 7 days of receiving the Fuel Lock Voucher (“Fuel Lock Transaction”);
    c) the Fuel Lock Transaction must generate a saving of at least $0.01 in order to be eligible (“Eligible Fuel Lock Transaction”)

  • Does it mean 50 people can claim 4 times (50X4 = 200) or 200 people?

    • I believe it could end at 50x4 entries, but it's unlikely that everyone would put in 4 entries each. First come, first served though?

One of the FB comments, "The guy at the counter was shocked how much i saved haha".

I'm thinking, shocked at how much of his pay he has to hand back…

  • It looks like there's a daily limit of two fuel locks.

    • Does the third one not lock?
