Bicycle - Trek Neko WSD 2016 $525.00 Model Clearance - Normally $699 Now $525 (Pickup) @ TFM Melbourne

20

Looking at buying a bike for my daughter, just got to make sure the size is right as only the 14" is available.

According to this suits people to a height of up to 155cm (https://www.cycleexperience.com/getting_the_right_size.php).

Unfortunately out of the question for my 172cm or so daughter. Bu may suit other ozbargainers.

Now this would be perfect for her height, but she doesn't want a road bike (http://www.pushys.com.au/mekk-poggio-1-6-carbon-road-bike-20…)

Bike that doesn't fit is like shoes that don't fit …. it's not a bargain if doesn't fit……. if on budget, reid usually have all sizes as it's their brand….. and they all use shimano or sram running gear,

Drop handle bar vs flat handlebars ………..flat bar bikes are a bit more comfortable if she's into relaxed riding and lots come with disc brakes now.

    • They are only more comfortable for the first week. I made the mistake in believing the bs around flat bars and wasted a lot of money. You don't need to be down in the drops all the time will riding a 'real' road bike. Spend a week getting used to it and you'll love it.
