Nintendo Entertainment System

The NES console has two controller input ports. The one on the right ( nearest the edge) on my box was dead. Neither the wired controller nor the wireless controller I have will work in it. They both worked fine in the other port. EB Games did an exchange, however, frustratingly, the new console has exactly the same problem. Anybody else experience this?

Someone is going to recommend using emulators even though they're hopeless at running games properly.

You do know the NES Mini is actually an emulator running on an ARM chip right?

    • Actually my retro pi is killin it and plays the games flawlessly.

    NES or NES mini ?

Yes, as Diji1 has said…. emulators are a better option than having the consoles themselves.
At least up until the PS2/GameCube/Xbox era.
Average Joe people could take care of titles much better than a corporation from the likes of Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo.
In fact, Nintendo was caught illegally downloading Mario emulator Roms from the internet recently… just to put that into perspective for you.
