Age Pension Solutions

Has anyone else had experiences with Age Pension Solutions?

I am one unhappy customer.

Tried ringing the office and it had a message saying to try back in 15 minutes which I did many times over the next month or so. Originally they sorted out my husband's Centrelink requirements, but since then there has been no communication even though one signs up for a year's service and updates were required.

  • walk in their office and face to face talk to them,

    • Old school! I like it.

    • Also strategically time your visit. The lines can take 90 minutes to progress, going on the last few times I visited.

  • Nope.
    Who are they?

    • People who charge for submitting a Centrelink Aged Pension on your behalf apparently so pensioners don't have to be in the same building as young dole bludgers.

  • Despite their inefficiencies answering the phone are they any good ?

  • +1

I would guess that, once they have your money and done the intial submission, they might not want to be providing ongoing phone advice to pensioners who 'might' ring up about miniscule things.

  • How much do or did they charge for the initial submission?

  • $600 initially, then $220 per year

  • I have just finished dealing with them, much to my disgust. Going on to the 6th week, and absolutely NO service. They told me that they had lodged to act on my behalf, 3 weeks after my authorization was first given, but when I went into Centrelink today, they stated that there was no such lodgement on my behalf. They do not return numerous phone calls I have made, stating that the receptionist had not given him any messages. Sorry Stuart, but you are absolutely useless. It is time for you to retire. You obviously have no proper office procedures in place to even pass messages on, if you are telling the truth on that matter. Cannot be left to act on behalf of customers.

    • I help my clients with centrelink things too but I can say sometimes the things I lodge (in person, or upload directly to their servers) on behalf of clients are mysteriously "lost" or not actioned forever. Centrelink are pretty terrible.

  • The lodging and processing of social security benefits should be a function of government, not a private company. Why should you have to pay to lodge your pension etc?

This company should not be allowed to handle such matters….

  • I have been using APS since applying via them for my pension 7 years ago. I have found their service to be very efficent and have had no issues with any phone calls or correspondence. The fact that I do not have to interact with Centre link is worth the annual fee. I am a very HAPPY customer.
