What Paid Survey Websites Do You Use?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what paid survey websites everyone uses / has used, and which ones pay out the best rewards (in your experience)?

I personally use:

http://connect.news.com.au - Have redeemed several movie tickets, JB Hi-Fi and Woolworths vouchers.

http://www.purkle.com.au (formerly Nine Rewards) -
Only signed up recently, didn't take long to get a balance of $20. They have Hoyt's / Event Cinemas, Ticketek, Chemist Warehouse, JB Hi-Fi, iTunes, Woolworths and Xbox Live vouchers.

Recently tried Valued Opinions, felt like they were wasting my time more than anything though.

Have also seen ads for Survey Compare Australia, though a bit of research shows that they are dodgy (say you aren't eligible after 20 minutes of questions) and write fake positive reviews for themselves online.

So what websites do you use, and what rewards have you received?

MySurvey - have averaged about $300 a year in Paypal credit from them.

    • Nice, will need to check it out! Like the PayPal and EB Games reward options.

What does the hourly rate work out to?

Purkle is the best by far. I've done the radio stations music sampling surveys with Purkle and they paid $60 for the one hour survey for simply rating a few hundred songs. I easily make $200 or more during a year for not a lot of time and effort.

    • I just joined purkle, do I have to wait for them to send me surveys so that i can earn the hard dosh…?

Yes, they email you the link whenever there is a new survey. Make sure you have completed the profile questions on your account so they can target you. If you receive a survey, you still have to answer some initial questions to qualify, however if you don't qualify they still pay you $0.20 just for trying. Also try to start the surveys as soon you receive them as each survey has a quota for the number of people they will pay, so the surveys may expire sooner than the advertised closing date.

  • I have never done it before, is there a lot of ads and spam & pop up?

    • No, you usually have to spend 2 to 25 minutes answering a survey. This may be on something like your drinking habits, or analysing the new Coke packaging, a bank ad etc. Some of them are interesting, whereas others are pretty tedious.

  • My company's bloody web filter blocks out and Pay To Surf, so I don't do them anymore.

Used to use Opinions Paid, made a few hundred from that (they would occasionaly get you to do a really high paying one, like $100 for 1hr to discuss shares, etc)

  • Hey mate,

I've been using a few different sites like mint, e-rewards etc but the one I found is the best (personally) is swagbucks, you get points not just from doing surveys but also referring others, watching videos, playing games, put in daily codes etc.

I generally spend 1-2 hrs daily with 2 accounts and get around U$25 in paypal each, AUD$64 weekly.

I do postal survey, where I log letters I receive and get a payment each month through the international postal union.
Most areas are full, but they contacted me to ask if I knew anyone interested in joining from Newcastle NSW.
If anyone is interested from Newcastle NSW, please contact me as you need a referral to join which I cannot post here.
Basically I receive letters with transponders in them daily, weekly whenever. I log them on a website/app then send back the transponders (postage paid).
How much you get depends on how much you do. It’s a point system where you convert to PayPal or charity or other formats.
    Cheers,
    Matthew

  • Google Rewards. Earned $71 over 2 years for doing 5 second surveys every now and then. Found out as I was renovating my house earlier this year that every trip to Bunnings prompts a survey asking about my experience the next morning. Gives me a good excuse to stop by every odd day after work.

  • Merged from Earning Money from Paid Survey Sites

    Hi Folks

There hasn’t been a recent article on paid survey sites, so I thought I’d add my experience from the last month when I started signing up. I’ve earned about $200 so far at about $6 per hour. Easy to do in front of the TV or on phone on public transport.

The most lucrative and reliable sites for me have been:

    https://www.pureprofile.com/
    https://www.lifepointspanel.com/
https://www.valuedopinions.com.au/ —> They gave me a 4hr $30 survey as soon as I signed up
    https://www.livetribe.com/
    https://empoweredsurveys.com.au/
    https://www.cafestudy.com/

The only one that failed for me was https://www.myopinions.com.au/. They terminated my account as soon as I tried to cash out my points! I should have read Trustpilot and Productreview first as I am not alone.

Any other recommendations? Also has anyone managed to do reviews from Aus on UK or USA sites?

    • Use a few of those, never had any issues with myopionions though, did they say why the closed your account?

      YouGov is another I use.

      • Yes I just got a proforma email saying I had violated T’s & C’s with no details. Reported Dynata (the operator) to ACCC Scamwatch.

Thanks, I’ll take a look at YouGov.

    • The only one that failed for me was https://www.myopinions.com.au/. They terminated my account as soon as I tried to cash out my points!

That happened to me too, contacted support and the revived my account. They said it was because I tried to cash out to a different email address (the PayPal account and my opinions account had different email accounts).

Currently, I have dropped all other providers and I am sticking with the "Student Edge" surveys. Yep they provide surveys too.

      • Thanks, I’ll take a look at Student Edge too.

  • Is anyone here using News Connect surveys?

    • I have been. This week though I am only getting this message Service is under Maintenance at this time. Please try again later

Seems like a long time for it to have been under maintenance

      • Oh I wanted to sign up, and saw the “maintenance” sign. Do you happen to know when they fix it? (Or have they been permanently closed?)

        • I have no information but I suspect the news isn't good because it is still down - this is too long to be maintenance.

@toniyellow: I received an email back from them saying that they will be back and up and running
