Is my phone on the way out?

Just after some feedback on a strange problem. I have a MOTOG 3 for the last year or so, just recently I am having a problem where the ring or message sound doesn't happen, even when the volume is turned up. It will vibrate so if I'm right next to it I do notice a call or message. If I restart the phone then that fixes the issue temporarily. Then yesterday I was trying to make a call and the whole screen just went blank. The buttons didn't seem to want to respond at all but after a while I managed to get it restarted and it worked OK for the rest of the day (apart from the no sound problem again).

So what say you all? Is she trying to tell me something?

Cheers

  • is it 'full'?

had a Nokia 6120 'classic' that would do similar. empty a few photos etc - it would be good for a while.

and yes, it really was a classic - even seen a toy version of it in the supermarket….

  • Nah plenty of space there I hardly ever take any photos. Just doing a cache wipe now though.

    Factory Reset..
If it still exhibits problems it's a possible hardware issue.

Sounds like a firmware issue - have you been keeping your phone up to date?

Go to Settings > Software or About (or similar) and check to see if you've got the latest firmware.

If you do, then back up all your files such as photos, contacts and anything else you may need and do a factory reset.

    Cheers,

Firmware is up to date. If my cache clean doesn't fix it I'll try a factory reset.

I've had a Moto E2 for about 2 years and it was doing something similar. After a factory reset it's running smoothly
